Theft Most Fowl (Cajun Joke) and Crepe Myrtles (Sunday Selections)

***********************************

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

Yesterday, while cleaning at Grandma and Grandpa’s house, Grandpa decided we needed to order lunch.  Several of the places he likes were closed, so we chose an open restaurant and placed the order.  He had to go fetch it from the restaurant, they do not deliver, but they have the distance thing where you pay by phone and they come put the food at the front of your car when you get there and call.

He came back, and they had not included Grandma’s order, so he had to call them and go back.  It’s never fun when you are missing food like that.

Clothile done know de fam’ly be hungry, so she done put two hen in de stew pot, not jes’ one.

In a few hour, she done come back to finish up, an’ she commence to holler.  Boudreaux, Aline an’ Tee done run in de kitchen an’ Boudreaux ax, “What be wrong?  Did you done burn you?”

An’ o’ course Tee, bein’ de wag, done say, “Worse, did you done burn de supper?”

An’ Clothile say, “One you t’ree done stole a whole hen out dis pot!”

An’ Boudreaux ax, “What you mean?”

An’ Clothile say, “I done put two hen in dis here pot, an’ mais! one you done stole a hen or one dem hens done et de othe’ one!”

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It is now hosted by Elephant's Child.    https://myjustsostory.blogspot.com/

The crepe myrtles are in bloom.
