It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus.
What did we do for our anniversary yesterday? Sweetie ran errands for The Big Boss, and i took Dr. D to NOLA for a funeral in the bad weather. And managed to get her there and back on time and in one piece in spite of the wrecks on the highways.
Yep, it was kind of a bust in the celebrating department, that will have to wait until payday on Friday. That’s okay, it’s not the specific day that matters.
Before Dr. D and i left, i tried to get all of the usual cleaning done. Looking at the pile of dishes in despair, i told her i was going to use the dishwasher.
She said, “Well, it’s rather useless.”
You’re right, i told her, until you unload the clean dishes, it is!
Yes, i unloaded and got it reloaded and run before we had to leave. No need to place bets on whether it will still have all the clean dishes in it next week.
While she was at the funeral, i went to Grandma and Grandpa’s house and cleaned the fridges, something Grandma told me last week she was hoping i could get to soon.
While i was there, Grandpa said that he sometimes cleans the fridge. Grandma said, “What, once a year?”
“No, about every 3 months I take a rag and wipe it out. Of course, I don’t move anything, I just clean around it.”
“Are you afraid to move stuff?”
“No, the only thing I’m afraid of is throwing away something you still want. That’s why I don’t throw anything away until it’s moving on its own!”
On that note, more of the stuff that Grandma forwards to me:
Have a blessed and beautiful Tuesday, everyone!

Had to smile at Grandpa's fridge cleaning method. And why do so many people think a dishwasher will empty itself and put the dishes away?
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, Mimi. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Some great pics there. Love the one of the farm animal mix, amazing! Hopefully you can celebrate your anniversary this weekend and someone might empty the dishwasher besides you for a change.
ReplyDeleteIt isn't the day indeed. You'll have fun celebrating on Friday, or Saturday.
ReplyDeleteDr. D. is a whirlwind of confusion. I'm glad she has you.
Love all the funnies. So cute.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. ♥
Oh, such cute animal pics. Thanks for the smile!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Jackie O wherever her spirit is, I'll celebrate by drinking a tall glass of chocolate milk.
Your Grandpa sounds like a wise man :)
It isn't the day it's how you two love each other every day! Thanks for all those darling photos!
ReplyDeletethe german shepherd is my fave by far....if I had land, trout towne would have dogs !!! ☺☺☺♥♥♥
ReplyDeletehope you get to do something enjoyable for your anniversary date this friday !! ☺☺☺♥♥♥
Those photos were really fun. I hope the Anniversary celebration happens soon for you both!
ReplyDeleteI've decided I want dishwashing cupboards. You put all your dishes away, put in the soap and press the button. There they wash and there they stay till next time. Hmmm . . . wait a minute. Maybe that's what Dr. D has! ;)
ReplyDeleteYou are a saint for dealing with Dr. D even if you do get paid. I like that rule about waiting until something in the fridge moves on it's own :)
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary! We often wait until the weekend too. Oh and payday! You know what day it was and you are such a kind heart. I sure love knowing you. Now I may have to give Jake at State Farm a call while coloring in my color book and cat scanning my feline . Hmmm.maybe I would be copy catting him? Hmmm.... LOL! Oh goodness you make me smile a bunch! Enjoy your celebration and have a beautiful day today. HUGS across the miles.
ReplyDeleteYour grandma forwards you the best stuff, she's great at keeping us all amused.
ReplyDeleteHappy, happy anniversary (no matter when you celebrate it).
