These kittens decided to let their stuffed tiger have a turn in the litter box:

Sparks, the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, is on hiatus, so here's an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.
***********************************
Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border. Jenny at Procrastinating Donkey is on a blog break because of her husband's health. Charlotte/Mother Owl always participates, and now Karen at Baking in a Tornado is jumping in, too. Spike's Best Mate often leaves a wonderful poem in the comments on one of our blogs.
This week the theme is Our Least Favorite Chore.
In reality, i don't like cleaning,
Only do it because i must,
It's not a lot of fun to deal
With dirt and muck and dust.
But cleaning the litter boxes
Is the chore i like the least,
It's only tolerable because
We love the fuzzy beasts!
(Yes, it's true, i am not one of those people who go gaga over cleaning and polishing and washing and etc. It has to be one of The A-mighty's jokes that He saw fit to make me a janitor/housekeeper.)

So true, we have to do the chores because we have to, or because there is no one else doing it.
ReplyDeleteOh yes so true poem. I have never been cleaning liter boxes, but I suspect it would be my least favourite chore on account of the smell - maybe second to cleaning up sick! which did not make it into my poem.
ReplyDeleteKittens sharing!
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Sweet kitten. Hope their toy isn't ruined in the litter box! Mom doesn't like cleaning at all either, but she doesn't want to hire a cleaning lady either. We need a self cleaning house.
ReplyDeleteAww! isn't that kind of them heheh! soooo cute :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a kittentastic safe week 😷😷😷
That is why I have barn cats. I swore I would never have another litter box in my house. However Luke wants in so badly, I have considered letting him inside more often. The dogs love him but Luke's mother Olive refuses to come inside and I hate to think of leaving her out by herself at her age. Oh woe is me...
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet kittens! John Lennon was a wise one and that's a very cute poem today.
ReplyDeleteI cleaned a litter box once for a friend who was out of town and I can definitely see why that would be a least favorite chore.
ReplyDeleteSweet kitties sharing ~ sweet photo and great spark ~ ^_^
ReplyDeleteMoment by moment....
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
Silly kittens! I am NOT a fan of cleaning either, and yes, it must be one of the Almighty's jokes that I have multiple cats that increase the need for cleaning exponentially - MOL!
ReplyDeleteHahaha! When you gotta go...
ReplyDeleteCleaning isn't my favourite, either. A necessary evil when you want to live without clutter.
And dust. Ugh.
Great poem, Mimi!
I laughed out loud. I wonder if the stuffed animal did it's business. Cute.
ReplyDeleteLove your spark and I'm not a fan of all that cleaning either. I can't imagine doing it for a living. My old bones don't let me do what I used to do.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. ♥
The toy in the littler box made me smile as did your poem! Have a lovely week!
ReplyDeleteNeeded to see this John Lennon quote today. Thanks for posting!
ReplyDeleteThose kittens have a great sense of humor. :) Excellent spark and poem.
ReplyDeletecrackin up ewe wee catz !!!! ☺☺☺ THANX MEW on thiz thanx full day ;) ♥♥
ReplyDeleteSome day, I'm gonna try a hot toddy!
ReplyDelete(But not today...)
Nice of the kitties to share the litter box with a tiger. I'm not big on cleaning either. I tidy as I go, but real cleaning only happens if there's a house inspection coming up.
ReplyDeleteMimi,
ReplyDeleteAwww, cute little fuzz balls! Great John Lennon quote. I don't mind cleaning my home. I don't think I'd like having to clean other people's houses, though. Your life vocation isn't God playing a joke, in fact He must think you're pretty darn special. ;)
