"It's too late."
"If you're breathing, it's never too late."
"I've done so much -- so many regrets..."
"Doesn't matter, it's never too late."
"Where do I start looking for redemption?"
"A great place to start is here, 'In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God..."

It's Angel Sammy's Poetry Day! This week's image and my poem:
Having a picture made
Is an occasion of great import.
Preserving your likeness for descendants
Is not a time for smiling or sport.
After all, your great-grandchildren
Shall know how you looked this way,
Also, the process is very expensive
So don't fritter it away!

I like your six sentences and I'm happy you got to meet Bart and have a cuddle.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is never too late to start looking for redemption. Your grand-dog looks so cute.
ReplyDeleteLove your fences - and your poem.
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of the two ladies. I wonder how it felt to have to wear those clothes - I think I'd hate it. I have a photo of a lady of a similar period with the most extraordinary hairstyle I have ever seen, it is like a plaited cone on her head. I must look it out and post it one day!
ReplyDeleteThe poem suits the photo eminently. Well done!
ReplyDeleteI take no offence at a fence.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Hope you get to see Bart more often as he will grow up and be a real dog in no time! Fun fences too!
ReplyDeleteRedemption--wow!
ReplyDeleteGood words, yes, it's never to late. Cute poem too and Bart looks like such a sweetie. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteA sacred six and poetic perfection! Excellent!
ReplyDeleteGreat Six, Mimi. I especially liked this line: "If you're breathing, it's never too late." There's still hope!
ReplyDeleteLove your six and your poem.

Bart is a cutie. Great story and poem. Good point that photos were expensive back then. I always complain to my mom that there are so few photos of my childhood and she said getting them developed used to be expensive so she never took many and that was in the 19to's.
ReplyDeleteA simple message with a great way to begin.
ReplyDeleteMimi,
ReplyDeleteYour poem is cute but I just absolutely loved your Six Sentence Stories! Excellent job!! You're a talented lady. Why aren't you published author? You'd make a great one! :)
Always love your 6 sentence stories. You're such a whizz at them. Like you, I still take a photo of any good fence I see.
ReplyDeleteIf you're breathing, it's never too late.' Excellent thought. So much in such a short piece, Mimi. It's great.
ReplyDeleteYour 6-sentence story is concise and powerful.
ReplyDeleteYou are a treasure to know. Your poems, writings and photos are always making me keep coming back. You are a grateful and kind heart. I admire your strength. You have such a busy life and you make time to make smiles for many.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend. HUGS across the miles.
Those are very encouraging words, Mimi - "If you're breathing, it's never too late." Everyone can benefit from the reminder.
ReplyDeleteOld photos are fascinating to look at! (I tend to agree. Posing for pictures? No, definitely no time for "smiling or sport", lol
Cute name Bart. Bart Simpson? Bart Starr? Short for Bartholomew? :D No matter, he's adorable. How could you not cuddle him :)
