It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus.
We've discussed before how Carl throws things at the garbage can and doesn't much care if they land in the garbage can. The opposite is true, he can intend for things to go elsewhere, but if it lands in the garbage can he doesn't notice.
What landed in the garbage this time? |
Oh, okay, just throw it in the wash. |
Yesterday i arrived to many open doors.
There's no knowing what he was looking for in those cabinets, but you can tell where he's been by the doors he leaves open.
When he went to go get his extra hour of rest in the chair, i closed the two doors between his room and the living room so i wouldn't wake him or his father. He had to come back to get an extra pajama top (yes, he was wearing pajamas already, what does that have to do with anything?), then an extra blanket, then to put on deodorant. As i pointed out to him that he didn't need deodorant yet, he hadn't showered, he looked confused, then said, "Okay, but where's the top?" We had to find the top.
Yes, i had to go behind him all 3 times to shut those doors again, too.
That's when i noticed the dental floss on the table.
Pulling on it, i realized it was attached to something.
There's the culprit, the floss is still attached to the container! |
His drawers were the usual higgle piggle.
He couldn't find the two pair of sox i'd left for him the in the bathroom. Later, when i was cleaning the bathroom, i found another pair.
Doesn't everyone keep a pair of socks in the drawer with the razor? |
While dusting, i found more clothes behind the TV.
Behind the TV, dust bunnies, underwear and a sock, among other things. |
He'd also left me this gem.
Shoes Need Cleaning |
Yes, i cleaned them and put them with the mates in the closet. How much you want to bet they are already separated again?
How about some funnies.
The sport of choice for the urban poor is basketball.
The sport of choice for maintenance level employees is bowling.
The sport of choice for frontline workers is football.
The sport of choice for supervisors is baseball.
The sport of choice for middle management is tennis.
The sport of choice for corporate executives and officers is golf.
CONCLUSION: the higher you go in the corporate structure, the smaller your balls become.
There must be a lot of people in Washington whose game of choice is marbles.
Have a blessed and beautiful Tuesday, everyone!

ReplyDeleteCarl really is challenging you this week.
Love the kick them out of Congress joke. I would like to evict some of our parliamentarians too.
ReplyDeleteCarl keeps you busy doesn't he? Which is a good thing.
And thanks for the prompts.
I still think you should write The Book of Carl! He certainly keeps you guessing!
ReplyDeleteLOVED the funnies—even got a laugh out of Husby! (And that’s a real feat!)
Great funnies. Thanx Mimi.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Thanks for more Carl entertainment! That last quote about women is the best! As for the small balls, we totally agree. Politics is just a big joke these days but the jokers get lots of money for their supposed work.
ReplyDeleteCarl gives you lots of interesting writing material. I can't imagine what it's like to live inside his mind. On occasion when my allergies are flaring leaving me headachy and a bit a dizzy, I can
ReplyDeleteget my brain wrapped around thing. It's so aggravating. Oh your funny about the balls broke me up. :D I'm so with the woman being surveyed in the cartoon! Here's an idea, don't vote those people into office in the first place but that's just my opinion. God has a great sense of humor. lol
Thank you for laughs and Words. Hopefully I'll pull my self together and use them!
ReplyDeleteAs unusual as many of Carl's habits may be, I have to admit that when my older son was younger, I looked behind his dresser many times to find piles of clothes (and assorted other things as well).
ReplyDeleteCarl is always full of surprises for you. I will never understand how those things get behind the TV. Lol! Thanks for the funnies.
ReplyDeleteCarl is the great explorer! Love those funnies, so good!
ReplyDeleteOh Mimi, you really got my funny bone going today. Loved the balls!!
ReplyDeleteCarl is most entertaining and I look forward to hearing about his antics each Tuesday. I love Carl.
ReplyDeleteLove the balls analogy. I laughed out loud. Ever so true.
Loved the funnies and especially the last one.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Big hug. ♥
I am laughing out loud at all the photos of different balls- the best one is all about marbles! Have a great day- you are The Saint of Patience with Carl!
ReplyDeletegreat funnies this week !!! ☺☺☺♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteIt was a waste to slather makeup over her wrinkled face. At this stage, Aunt Inez decided that any man who paid attention to her was missing some shell of intelligence. As it happened, Harold the farmer down the road was sitting in her living room. His face was twisted in an emotional mess.
ReplyDeleteThe poor guy. Harold had planted wheat and corn on his family’s farm, bringing a huge bag of sweet corn as a romantic gift. He had harvested the seeds from her garden, making it more special. Aunt Inez listened as Harold spun his story of the great love, that he felt for Aunt Inez.
She had had not a clue of the depth of emotion. Her mind swirled in a circle. But, in an inspired thought, her opinion did not matter. Harold had money, land, a nice house, and for some reason, he loved her.
Hell, yeah. Aunt Inez stretched over and slapped a kiss on his lips. Deal done.
You need those 'funnies' after cleaning up after MR. Carl ~ what a piece of work ~ Yikes! Xo
ReplyDeleteWishing you much laugher and love in your days,
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
Susan, thank you for the story! Even if it is mostly a marriage of convenience, i do hope they like each other and get along well for whatever time they have together.
ReplyDeleteLove the funnies, especially the games :) Carl certainly keeps you busy! It's good that you have a lot of patience and understanding ... and a sense of humour.
ReplyDeleteYou are a SAINT cleaning up (and closing doors) after Carl! I don't know if I'd have the patience. ;) Your funnies are HI-LARIOUS, thanks for the laughs! :)
