It's been busy and i'm running late, but i'm still running! If i haven't caught up with your blog, i will as soon as i can. We're trying to catch up and get everything done so we can leave for vacation next week, wheee!
Meanwhile, there's so much for which to be thankful.
Last weekend spent at Grandma and Grandpa's house worked out really well.
#1 Son's surgery was a success, the doc cleaned out the damage he had from his years of skateboarding and worked on the torn cartilage and his meniscus. He's not only walking already, he's driving, and he goes back to work this coming week.
Sunday i arrived to get Becca and found Ms. A has a broken toe. Of course, you can't do anything for a broken toe except rest, but she really wanted to sing for the special service last Sunday.
We only had one service, which meant it started at 10:30am. This gave us plenty of time to take Mr. Cal on an extra long walk, and we fed the turtles at the pond.
Church was followed by a nice reception, and i kept Becca with me for that so Ms. A could get home and get off her sore foot. When i did bring Becca home, i got her out of her good church clothes and settled to rest with her mama, and got Ms. A a big ice bag for the swelling.
Monday went well as poor Mr. L, with his neck pain and insomnia, has decided the only way i'm ever going to get to clean their bedroom is if he cooperates and goes to rest in Carl's room after i've cleaned it. The whole plan seems to be working.
Ms. D and i had an adventure Tuesday, i was thankful to do something a little out of the ordinary.
Ms. G kept me hopping, but she’d picked up a crossbody carry bag that will hold a phone and cards, just right for travel, when she was at a jewelry show in NOLA. She asked if i needed one, and the fact is i’d been looking at them online the night before, wondering if it would be worth ordering something like that! Thanks to her, no need to order one.
#2 Son brought Jock, his blue heeler, over on Wednesday evening to give me tips, tricks and pointers on dealing with him. We're thankful to be able to dog-sit from Thursday to Sunday, having a temporary puppy buddy is great fun.
Dr. BowTie came to the rescue again and saw me Friday morning. My blood pressure is just not behaving, so we're trying something else. Because i only have Ms. GA on Friday, i was able to run errands including picking up the new prescription and getting flea treatment for the cats.
The shelter is busting out all over, i spent a fun two hours Friday evening enjoying cats and cat people.
Today we're taking Jock with us, and Grandma is so happy, she wants to see the puppy again and we're going to make sure she gets plenty of time with him.
Please write up your own list and link up to Ten Things of Thankful, where Dyanne and her co-hosts always have a warm welcome waiting.

My silent lol is purely in the spirit of 'the best medicine is to keep moving while helping others!
My sentiment on modern painting echoes Boudreaux' Thanks for the huge smile. I hope you have a wonderful holiday and that you and your blood pressure will benefit from it.
