How I Sometimes Feel (Wordless Wednesday) and Words for Wednesday

 ***********************************

Linking up with Wordless Wednesday, BeThere2Day, and Sandee at Comedy Plus.

***********************************

Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and has become a moveable feast of word or picture or music prompts to encourage us to write stories, poems, or whatever strikes our fancy.

This month, the prompts are being provided by Charlotte

For today the prompt are

Flames

Morning

Trip

A brood of chicken

Pancakes

Better

     And/or

Rainbow

News

Garden

Bread

Small

Pudding

Charlotte/Mother Owl has also chosen Golden Yellow as the color of the month if we wish to use it in the story.

Her day was going to go up in FLAMES if she lingered in bed, so she didn't.

It was the MORNING of her weekly TRIP to the farmer's market, where she could sell eggs from her Brood Of Chickens as well as the RAINBOW chard and kale from her GARDEN.  Her produce sold well and there were some people who waited in line to buy the eggs she brought.

"They're BETTER than any others I've gotten," one repeat customer told her when she came by each week.

She always said, "Happy chickens lay good tasting eggs," and she kept hers happy.

She would also pick up both NEWS from the town and a few SMALL things she needed that she did not grow herself or make for herself.  Today she especially wanted some ingredients for PUDDING.  She'd had what her mama used to call "a hankering" for pudding for a while, and decided today was as good a day as any to have some.

As she went about her morning chores, she fed the sourdough starter she used for all of her BREAD.  Then it was time to put two of her frozen PANCAKES in the oven to warm.  She'd make the batter and cook them ahead, then freeze them and warm them up for breakfast on market days to save time.

The drive to town in the Golden Yellow sunrise was always beautiful, and she was glad it was another lovely market morning.
