As always, there’s more to be thankful for than i will probably have time to get to, but that’s a thankful in itself.
Two weeks ago, Sweetie got a spaghetti dinner from a restaurant in the NOLA area where we sometimes pick up lunch (Grandpa’s treat) and bring it back to eat while working. They mangled his order.
This week, he called and told them what happened, and we’re thankful they gave us the price difference on what they didn’t include last time. We’re also thankful for food from a delicious place (they make an excellent salad).
Sunday started our Zoom meetings for our small group Lent study. It’s great to see everyone, and some new faces bringing new perspectives.
The work week has gone almost perfect. Ms. G and i got a lot done as she told me all about the drama in her extended family (i’m thankful for the relative peace and calm in my life!), Ms. V and i got the refrigerator coils vacuumed (and all the other work done), no major drips, runs or errors.
Tuesday i had a genuine, real as can be day off! I went no further than my own mailbox, my personal definition of a good day off.
Then there’s Read Across America Day. I’m thankful anyone, anywhere can participate by reading. I’m thankful for Dr. Seuss and his delightful and insightful writings. I’m thankful to know how to read and to have books at my fingertips.
Finally, rEcess!
Please write up your own list and link up to Ten Things of Thankful, where Dyanne and her co-hosts always have a warm welcome waiting.

ReplyDeleteI would swear that rEcess was like on a monthly (or longer) cycle)... tell me they changed it to weekly so I don't have to contend with the idea that the time-acceleration effect as one gets older has just increased by an order of magnitude.
wonderful time for the children ~ bless you ~ hugs,

ReplyDeleteLulu: "It's good when a restaurant makes things right like that! A local fish place did the same thing for our Mimmier and Pippier a few years ago when they forgot to include one of the fish fries they had ordered one Lent; when they went back, the restaurant gave them a free meal worth more than the one they had forgotten. It turned Mimmier and Pippier into loyal customers of theirs for life!"
