“Hey, baby, going my way?”
Standing at the end of the driveway with his thumb out, my Sweetie pretended to pull up his pants and show off his “gams”, all the while grinning with a glint in his eye.
He’d been outdoors on the porch swing watching for me to get home, and stepped off the porch and came down the drive, and what else could i do but stop, roll my window down, and say, “Sure enough, honey, hop on in!”
Playing along, he raced around and jumped in the passenger seat for the ride up to the end of the driveway, saying, “Your place or mine tonight?”
“How about both?” i said, laughing, and we both kept laughing as we got my stuff out of the car and into the house.
At the end of a hard day, it’s good to come home to someone you can really laugh and joke around with.
