Roller Coaster Ride for Random and Happy Tuesday

(Because some people like Blogger and some like WordPress, i am putting the same content at both.  If you would prefer to read this on the other site, it is linked here.)

***********************************

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus.

First, my apologies if i'm still behind on blogs.  In fact, i may have to simply pick up with what is current.  The ride got wilder and crazier.

The electrician, Mr. MG, came by and put in a new, stronger breaker to replace the one that was tripping up.  That worked for all of a day.

He came back on Monday, went over everything with a fine tooth comb, and came up with a plan, which he is supposed to execute today.  A few hours after he left yesterday, the electricity to the whole house went out!

When i drove up, after a day of adventure with Dr. D and Ms. JAI calling last minute, near to sunset, the temps falling, no electricity in the house, i was close to panic.

Mr. MG came back and got it all back on, and will still be back today, and no extra charge for the extra visit.

We are still trying to figure out why the lights flicker in one part of the house.  The only thing left on that circuit that might be causing it is the electric water heater that supplies the kitchen sink.  If it's the culprit, we will no longer have hot water at the sink.

As i've told Sweetie, we can boil water for washing dishes, women have done it for generations, and at least we don't have to haul it in from the well at the end of town.

Not us, not by a long shot.

Ms. JAI is back in town and needed help with cleaning the bathrooms as well as figuring out how to get her new credit card activated.  The first she pays me for, the second, not so much.  Only for a friend do i fight with those things, and when i fight them, i usually win.  Her card is working.

Dr. D was in "I am going to get an appointment" mode, too.  She was getting nowhere, so she handed the phone to me.  Once i got the appointment desk on the phone and i told the nice lady i was Dr. D's assistant and would be handling the scheduling, it was done in about a minute.  When they think you are a doctor and have an assistant to do things for you, it works.

Anyway, this means Dr. D will be out of town next week having her procedure done to relieve her lumbar/hip pain and i will be cat-sitting.  Cest-trois and Josephine will not be pleased, but they will have food.

That's about it for now, i hope everyone has a fabulous Tuesday!

  15. Do the cats not like you?

You making the appointments for Dr. D reminded me I needed to make an apple appointment to replace my phone battery. Thanks! :)

Sorry you've been having problems with the electricity going out. This is definitely a bad time of year for that. Or at least a cold time of year. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

  16. I have so been there - get so behind you feel like you're swimming upstream, and it's better/easier/retains what's left of your sanity to just pick up what's current. ;)

Your electrical issues sound scary! Hope they got resolved - glad the electrical dude didn't charge you for the extra visit (I would have been peeved if he did). :) We have an issue with our front porch light - when it's on, the lights in the living room and dining room flicker. One of these days either the hubby will replace the switch with the new technology one I bought, or I'll get tired of waiting for him to do it and do it myself...heh!!

Hope you're having fun with the kitty sitting! :)
