All In Due Season (Cajun Joke) and Sunday Selections

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

Yesterday the topic of King Cake came up.  We haven’t had one yet, but i am sure that will change soon.  King cake is the sweet of the season, from Epiphany, also called Three Kings’ Day, until Mardi Gras.

Boudreaux be talkin' 'bout how he done bought him de firs' king cake o' de season on Epiphany.

Thibodeaux say, "You know dey bin sellin' de king cakes fo' a while.  I even done seen dem done in red an' green as Christmas cakes!"

An' Boudreaux say, "I be de traditionalist.  I din't buy me no king cake until King's Day.”

An’ Clothile done hear dem an call from de nex’ room, “Mais!  You din't buy you a king cake befo’ because you din’t run out of Christmas cookies until den!”
