Clothes, Cuties, and Funnies, a Random and Happy Tuesday Word Counters Post

***********************************

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus

Part of today’s post is also a writing challenge. This is how it works: one of the contributing bloggers picked a number between 12 and 50. The submitted number is a challenge to participating bloggers to write at least one piece using that exact number of words.

This month, the word count number is: 32

It was submitted by:  yours truly

On the Border

Carl did his usual begging for more snooze time before getting up yesterday, and i let him enjoy the warmth and comfort of his favorite cozy chair while i tended the laundry.

The laundry required it.  His mother is trying to encourage him to do more of his own washing, and i understand.  He generally gets through the wash part okay, but only generally.

Once in so often, he will decide to put the clothes in, add detergent and set the washer to rinse and spin.  As you can guess, the results are less than stellar.

My trick is to turn the washer on and fortunately the last cycle used lights up.  If the rinse and spin cycle lights up, i just run it through a normal wash.

If he gets through the wash, he's iffy with the dryer.  With effort he's washed and gotten the clothes into the dryer, does he really have to remember to start it?

Now that the drying is out of the way, there's that pesky putting away part.  That's where he gets finished before the job does and i find clothes in the oddest places.

This time, the socks were in the underwear drawer, underwear was stuffed in with pajamas, and the hanging clothes were hanging from the top closet shelf, no hangers were required.  Job security.

It's time for some cuties and some funnies.

Have a blessed and beautiful day, everyone!

  2. That Carl! He keeps you on your toes. I loved the expression "finished before the job was". It describes to a T how it is with children and Carl. Thank you.

  3. Doing laundry may be too big of an ask for Carl, but we get that his mom wants him to be a bit self sufficient. Great funnies! The Jehovas Witness one is so funny, we can imagine their faces!

  4. All are funny but the Jehovah Witness one is the best because my husband (before he was my husband) actually greeted them that way. It worked because they never returned.
