Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.
Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays. Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.
Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you. What better way to start the week than with a smile!
Lulu, for reasons no one can fathom, wants someone to stand with her while she eats. She also wants to push her plate way into the corner by the back door, in a box, of all places. Persnickety little thing, she doesn't eat until someone goes with her and her plate is in the right place, then she keeps stopping and checking to make sure you haven't left.
This is the only way to get Lulu to actually pose. |

Sparks is the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, who wanted us to post something positive and uplifting at the start of the week. While she no longer blogs, i like to post an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border. Jenny at Procrastinating Donkey is on a blog semi-break and her poetry is sorely missed, we hope she comes back soon. Charlotte/Mother Owl participates, and now Karen at Baking in a Tornado is jumping in at least once a month, too. Anyone else is welcome to join in the fun, just let Diane know!
This week the theme is Celebrating Earth Day.
My "poem" today is freestyle and not very hopeful or happy.
What can I say that has not
been said before
by wiser heads than this one,
about how we do not care for
our beautiful garden of a planet
the way
we really should
and will my adding any words
to the discussion
change a mind?
My fear is
we have begun too late
to see the command to
Tend The Garden
as not being
optional
and too many of us
are just trying
to survive
day
to
day
to be able to give the Earth
the concern that is her due.
I pray I'm wrong.

That is weird behaviour for Lulu. Does anyone know why she does this? Has she had food stolen by other dogs in the past?
ReplyDeleteLike your Lulu, my pets too don't eat when they are alone, they always want someone by their side!
ReplyDeleteFar grateful for another inspiring post of yours, and for hosting, as well, I'm wishing you a wonderful Monday and new week, dearie!
Daniela at ~ My little old world ~ (Dany)
Lulu made me smile but you got there in the end with that perfect pose from her heheh!
ReplyDeleteHave a posetastic Monday 👍
I hope your poem is wrong too, but fear it isn't. And yes, we have had furry friends who insist on us staying with them while they eat.
ReplyDeletePrecious is weird about wanting us to be with her when she eats. She's quite demanding for her food, and she'll eat it very quickly, but she does seem to want someone to be right beside of her patting her on the head.
ReplyDeleteLulu, what are you thinking? That is a rather odd behavior. Love that first spark about the round earth.
ReplyDeleteI share your fear!
ReplyDeleteLulu wants someone to accompany her when she eats.
ReplyDeleteSometimes, you just gotta go with the flow and snap whatever photo presents itself when pets aren't interested in the camera.
ReplyDeleteQuirky Country music titles. Here's a couple of real ones, "Prop Me Up Against The Jukebox When I Die" and Dropkick Me Jesus Through the Goalposts of Life."
Have a blessed week.
Ah Lulu ~ sweet doggie ~ you want someone guarding your food? ~
ReplyDeleteGreat Sparks and yes Mother Earth needs caring for NOW ~
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,
A ShutterBug Explores,

Lulu doesn't like to eat alone. They all have their ways. Great poser too.
ReplyDeleteLove the quotes and the poem. You're so talented.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Love and hugs. ♥
Two great quotes and isn't Lulu a character! Cheers!
ReplyDeletethecontemplativecat here. Poor Lulu. Something traumatic must have happened sometime before you got her.
ReplyDeleteOur Macy likes someone to stand with her when she eats too. That's a terrific Spark, love it. Oh, and a darn good poem too!
ReplyDeletePoor LuLu, someone must have stolen her food in the past. I pray you are wrong too. XO
ReplyDeleteOur pets do have their own, personal quirks, some of which may have been caused by previous ownership etc.
ReplyDeleteIn the case of my Shama (and her now late brother, Remy) both of whom came into my life and I, into theirs, when they were just short of six weeks old, they both had and have their own, individual little ways. Our animals are not far removed from us in having personal quirks and ways. :)
(I've had so much trouble trying to post this post! Grrrr! What is going on with Blogger/Google these days?)
Lulu is really like all of us. I mean, honestly, who wants to dine alone?! lol
ReplyDeleteLulu is a pretty dog. I think in the process of trying to take care of the earth there are things now being down that are actually more harmful. What will we do with all of the batteries for these electric vehicles someday?
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I should bring Pandy to stand beside Lulu during mealtime. Provided Lulu would than accompany Pandy outside because the goofy doggins refuses to pee alone!
ReplyDeleteYour poem is perfect and, sadly, probably true!
