Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.
A woman who has been a friend of Grandma and Grandpa for many years loves to cook and ever since Uncle P died, every Saturday she has dropped off food at their house for them. She knows Grandpa hates cheese, so if she makes something with cheese, she makes a portion for him without.
Yesterday, however, she made something with cream cheese, thinking it would be different. He tried it, and ate the small plate he served himself, so I'm guessing he didn't mind.
De neighbor done brought Boudreaux an' Clothile de new recipe she done be tryin' an ax dem to eat it an' call an' tell her what dey t'ink.
Now, Boudreaux, him be picky, so he decide to get him de small plate an' jes' have him de taste, so he do dat. He eat him a bite, den one mo', an' him eat, stop, eat, stop, 'til he done finish de whole t'ing.
Clothile, who be eatin' her'n an' likin' it, ax him, "Well, what you t'ink?"
An' Boudreaux say, "Mais, I t'ink I going need at leas' two more bigger plates o' it befo' I decide!"

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files. The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please. It was hosted by River, who still participates, and is now hosted by Elephant's Child.
Various items, as always, some attempts to catch a butterfly (not great), Ms. V's Mother's Day card from her married son, a couple of Memorial Day displays, colorful fish at a pet store, and skies.

This week, Chai, Latte, and Au Lait wants to join the Kitties Blue at The Cat On My Head for their Sunday Selfies Blog Hop. They didn't all look at the camera at the same time, but since they are kittens, i know they did their best and it's a good attempt.

ReplyDeleteCharlee: "That probably means she wouldn't want us pouncing on the butterfly, because we would break off a piece of the plumeria."
Java Bean: "Well according to Dada pieces of plumeria fall off just if you look at them funny, so, sí, jumping at the butterfly would be right out."
Such cute kittens. Great joke and nice photos. That card is funny. XO
