Feline Friday, Give the Kitties Room! and Friendly Fill-Ins

Feline Friday is hosted by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude, and i'm going to believe it's because he likes cats.
Feline Friday is simple to join. All you have to do is..
1) post a picture, drawing, cartoon or video of a cat (They may be silly or cute)
2) go to Steve's page, linked above, then on the menu bar click on the Feline Friday tab to get the code
3) paste the code under your cat picture
4) add your name and link
That’s all there is to it! Be sure to check back every so often and visit all the Feline Friday bloggers. Also, please leave a nice comment on their blogs. Nasty comments will be deleted!

The cages for sick kitties are rather small, especially when you add a litter box and food and water bowl and a small bed for them to sleep on.  This is especially cramping for kittens.  Then someone came up with an idea, add another level to the cages.

Like a bunkbed with a play area under it, there's more room!

These guys like it!

These are a brilliant idea!

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by McGuffy Ann Morris of McGuffy's Reader. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!

My fill-ins for the statements are underlined:

Friendly Fill-Ins, Week 9, July 8, 2016:

1. Learning to live without a dishwasher was easier than i expected.

2. Bucket list:  (in alphabetical order, not the order in which i figure i can travel to them)
     1. Alaska/Canada (while i'm that far north, i figure i may as well travel through both)
     2. Australia
     3. New Zealand

3. I cannot believe we are still riding around on rubber tires and burning gasoline.  Where are the flying cars?  (Oh, wait a minute, the way people drive around here, never mind!)

4. If i could quit having to work to make a living, i would spend that time doing a lot more volunteering and helping people, including traveling to help friends i know who are out of town.

  1. The cars already fly around here where we live. The freeway speed is 75 and some of the secondary roads are 65 to 75. It is ridiculous.

Could you please tell me where I could get the banner that you have in your sidebar about not shopping on Thanksgiving? I don't think anyone should have to work that day, either!

    Have a great day!

  2. I remember when I was growing up, we were all told that by the year 2000 we would all have flying cars and wrist radios like Dick Tracy. We are close to the wrist radios with a video phone but still no flying cars.
Around here people go 85 in the school zones during school hours and complain about getting a ticket.

  3. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, I enjoyed your answers. I agree living without a dishwasher is not hard. We got rid of ours years ago because it was portable and hooked onto the faucet- it ruins the faucet and we had to keep replacing that. And I hope you get to visit all those places. Have a great weekend.

  4. I love the bunk bed idea, and have seen it used up here. It is pretty much the norm, now. Great pictures!

I am the only dishwasher here. We have never had another. It's okay. I don't want one.

I have no desire to travel outside the US. There is so much here I have not seen!

I fear that flying cars would make it worse. There is too much trouble on the ground and above it!

Thanks for being part of Friendly Fill-Ins, Mimi! Hugs!

  8. I always enjoy your history column, but recently I read that the Liberty Bell wasn't rung at the time because the bell tower containing it was rotten and in desperate need of repair, The idea it was rung to celebrate the Declaration came years later, if what I read is to be believed.

  11. That totally is a great idea for the kitties considering how much cats love to climb. Loved your fill ins. Flying cars - haha! I wish you could visit those places and also volunteer more. The only dishwasher in our house has two arms and wet hands...

  12. Brilliant idea for those wee kitties!! I bet they are much happier having something to climb and more room.
Alaska seems a popular destination - we should have a blog convention! LOL
Honestly, I wish we could go back to horse and buggy.
