The title of my last A to Z post each year is always the same, because it is Little Girl’s birthday, and she is worth zillions and there are zillions of reasons to be thankful for her.

She’s my youngest, my bonus baby.

She’s smart and funny.

She’s a wonderful sister to the other children.

She’s a loyal friend.

She’s an army medic.

She’s a sergeant.

She’s a great dog mom to Coda and Bart.

She’s holding down a job, doing her army reserve duties, and in nursing school doing her clinical classes.

She has a beautiful singing voice (she got it from her father, i promise!).

She’s a very talented artist (she got that from Grandma).

The list could go on, but you get the idea.

Happy Birthday, Little Girl.  You mean zillions to me.

Please write up your own list and link up to Ten Things of Thankful, where Dyanne and her co-hosts always have a warm welcome waiting.

Younglings (Feline Friday), Friendly Fill-Ins, and Jam! (Monthly Poetry Group), an A to Z Post

Feline Friday was started by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude, and i'm going to believe it's because he likes cats.

He has handed hosting duties off to Sandee, of Comedy Plus, and it's simple to join, just follow the link to Sandee's page for the rules and the code.

The young kittens are starting to arrive at the shelter.

***********************************

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by Lorianne The Menagerie Mom of Four-Legged Furballs. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!

Here are this week's statements with my responses underlined:

1. In May, I may _________.

2. Ten years ago, I was _________.

3. I hope for a future in which _________.

4. I would probably last _________ days in solitary confinement.

1. In May, I may   get caught up on a few things around the house, and then again, the Blue Fairy may also swoop in and do it for me!  (If The A-mighty put me on this Earth to accomplish a certain number of things, right now i am so far behind i will never die.)

2. Ten years ago, I was   just ramping up my cleaning business as all the children were in school and the eldest two could drive, so they were a bit less dependent on me in that sense.

3. I hope for a future in which   there is a future, period.

4. I would probably last   only a very few  days in solitary confinement.   Even introverts need others, as much as we might not like to admit it.

It's time for the Monthly Poetry Group, hosted by Karen at Baking in a Tornado.  Participants write a poem about a topic one of us chose.  This month, i chose Jam.  Be sure to go check out all the poems.

Jam is such a tasty treat

It leaves the tongue so merry,

So many kinds from which to choose,

Some but not all of them berry.

There's banana jam, for real,

Goes great with peanut butter,

If Elvis liked PB with banana,

This would've made his heart flutter!

The jams that have a little heat,

Those are lots of fun,

A bit of jalepeno and taste buds

Tingle, every one.

The homemade jams at markets

Are often quite unique,

If you want something like muscadine,

Those places you must seek.

There is one kind i have to say

Makes me madder'n email spam,

The one i hate, loathe, and despise

Is the horrible Traffic Jam.
