It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee’s Happy Tuesday at Comedy Plus.
Tales from Dr. D.
"Today, I need you to run some errands. But first, let's get the dishes done. No, wait, before the dishes, one of the cats chucked up over here."
Since i'd already seen the spot on the floor and taken care of it, i headed over to the sink.
"Wait, first let's talk about errands. No, never mind, do the dishes. Hold on, I have to show you where I've moved some of them to so you can know where to put them away. Oh, and I already have some garbage outside, better go get that in the can before some loose dog comes around and tears it up."
After dealing with the garbage, i head for the dishes.
"Hold on, first could you vacuum this rug, it's so filthy it's making me crazy, I can't stand it any more."
After dealing with the rug, and then the dishes (while she was on the heating pad and couldn't stop me), "Okay, I need for you to run errands, here's the list."
Getting things together to leave, she says, "Wait, first we have to do the filing so I can pay a bill for you to drop in the mail. Where's the checkbook? I just had it, I know it's in here."
The checkbook was in the other room.
It took almost two hours of back and forth to get out for the errands. Then i got sent on errands two more times because, of course, there's always something else.
What in the world is fractionated coconut oil, and why did she need it so desperately? Why did i have to search at four different places, only to be told the only place that had it was the health food store? What is the difference between that and the coconut oil she already had in the cabinet? The world may never know.
Anyway, the house is clean (including the mopped floors, and all of the dishes, which she managed to re-dirty twice while i was there), the garbage and recycling got put to the curb, and she has her coconut oil, fractionated the way she wanted it.
The most fractionated thing of the day was me!

ReplyDeleteYour patience is extraordinary.
And I have never heard of fractionated coconut oil. Or indeed fractionated any type of oil.
I think I'd be fractionated after all that too. I'm inclined to think 'fractionated' is a marketing tool to get people to pay more for what they think is a better product.
ReplyDeleteYou are one extremely patient person! I will end up a very fractionated person if I am in your shoe.
ReplyDeleteFractionated oil .. I know of it but always thought it was just some fancy-pants epithet. It stays liquid longer (in cooler places). But when making soap - what I use coconut oil for - it works just the same as normal coconut oil, so I won't pay for it.
ReplyDeleteI would be the one fractionated after such a day. Your patience is surprising.
I'd be going nuts by now. You are a very calm person Mimi. Whoosh. See ya and try to have a good Tuesday my friend.
ReplyDeleteCruisin Paul
I'm exhausted just reading your day with her. I'm not sure I could do this. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't make it for very long. You've the patience of a saint. You must thank your lucky stars when you leave her place for the day.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. ♥
Gad, you deserve a 'medal' ~ Couldn't deal with all you deal with ~ blessings and lots of hugs to you,

Wonder what makes people like that so scatterbrained. It is hard to make a schedule and stick to it!!
ReplyDeleteI use coconut oil and now I am wondering what fractionated is !!! ☺☺☺☺☺♥♥
ReplyDeleteI looked up fractionated coconut oil. Meh? So, at least you were finally able to get your doings finished. Last orders first leads to lots of work there, it sounds like! Oooh, and yes, I do need to feed the hummingbirds, I think the feeder was empty this morning!
ReplyDeleteCat
Never a dull moment with Dr. D :)
ReplyDeletePurrsonally, I don’t think she pays you enough!
ReplyDeleteBusy, for sure!
ReplyDeleteCan't say I've heard of fractionated coconut oil until now.
Exactly when and how did you get into my mind!! That sounds like most of my days. xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh lordy! I got dizzy reading the circles you had to go 'round! :) I've never heard of fractionated coconut oil... I'm off to google it! :)
