"I've got to save energy any way I can. I don't know about you, but my electric bill has gotten stupid expensive," she continued.
She's always been one to keep lights off and ever since my client Ms. B (who is in heaven now) taught me to clean practically in the dark, it's easy to honor her request.
Ms. G is right about the need to cut use where you can. Now i only wish i came with an energy-saver mode, too, especially by the end of the day!

ReplyDeleteSince both hubby and I have retired and now that the bills are going up, it is good to go on energy saving mode too. Saving a bit from here and there does help. I don't know whether I will be able to clean in the dark, maybe possible in semi dark. Lol!

Just lately I've started walking around my flat after dark carrying a torch rather than turning the lights on! As for the poem, scoff not. I'm all for it - or I would be if I didn't live alone!

here at Golch Central we have fences on our back patios. they are privacy fences but I have 2 next door neighbors that are amazing people one set looks after my kitty cat when I am out and about and also has is called when I activate my life alert pendants the others take my garbage cans to the end of the driveway and puts them back in from of my garage door when they are empty.

ReplyDeleteGrowing up, we were always taught to conserve gas and electricity. My father would throw a fit if the lights were left on needlessly. We had gas meters then, and only used energy if we could afford it. If we didn't have a shilling we couldn't have a hot bath.
