Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.
Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays. Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.
Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you. What better way to start the week than with a smile!
Ms. GA keeps a cardboard box on the floor near the sink in her kitchen, and after rinsing cans or flattening the boxes drops recyclables into it.
The other day a box destined to go in recycling fell to the floor before she could flatten it, and Abigail had to investigate.

Sparks is the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, who wanted us to post something positive and uplifting at the start of the week. While she no longer blogs, i like to post an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border. Jenny at Procrastinating Donkey is on a blog semi-break and her poetry is sorely missed, we hope she comes back soon. Charlotte/Mother Owl participates, and now Karen at Baking in a Tornado is jumping in at least once a month, too. Anyone else is welcome to join in the fun, just let Diane know!
This week the theme is Oatmeal.
oatmeal in the bowl?
be not quick to disparage
grab milk and sugar
*******
Some are quick to compare the taste
to something akin to wallpaper paste
but I don't write off oatmeal.
It's great when the tummy is out of sorts
and gets good grades in the health reports,
i don't thumb my nose at oatmeal.
Like rice, you don't just serve it plain,
it's meant to be a "carrier grain,"
get creative with your oatmeal.
Make it savory or make it sweet,
healthy as breakfast or a treat,
find your own speed with oatmeal.
Don't write it off as just a trend,
for your heart it's a very good friend,
now i'm going to make some oatmeal!

Love the cat in a box photos! I love Oatmeal- and the Wet Kisses makes one pause and think- and remember when our kids were growing up! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOh Abigail. Thank goodness that was a safe box to investigate. The wet oatmeal kisses poem was so sad! Lived that. Have recovered from it; probably because they are so much fun as adults.
ReplyDeleteYou gotta love Abigail! Thanks for capturing that great shot for us.
ReplyDeleteHee! Hee! we love investigating boxes too Abigal ND the Oatmeal Spark and the Oatmeal poem. Mom wants to tell you that she IS the Santa and the Easter Bunny! She may have to split the cost of a new gazebo between the Bunny and the Elf! Keep on being awesome! Marv
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun kitty! That was a great Spark and fun poems.
ReplyDeleteCute kitty. Sad story, but sadly it happens. My niece throws away anything that comes into her house with glitter. I let her kids use it wherever they want because I love to find glitter when they are not here as a reminder that they were.
ReplyDeleteAbigail is having a great time with that box. I sometimes eat oatmeal for dinner when I'm tired and can't be bothered cooking anything else.
