Sparks is the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, who wanted us to post something positive and uplifting at the start of the week. While she no longer blogs, i like to post an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

Our dear friend Diane is taking a break
accommodations we must make
we miss her poetry and wit
so carry on as Poetry Monday's a hit!
Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border. Charlotte/Mother Owl and i are keeping it going while she takes a blog break, we hope temporarily. Anyone else is welcome to join in the fun, just let us know!
This week the theme is Cabinet.
As one door opens
another closes makes for
awful cabinets
*******
My dad's a cabinet maker
and also loves jokes and patter,
we asked him to put knobs on this one,
and he said "I'll handle the matter!"
*******
The Pope got a new file cabinet
he thinks it is just dandy
there's plenty of room for him to
keep his Papal-work handy.
*******
The Mafia buys filing cabinets
from my business all the time,
I guess they really enjoy
being organized crime.
*******
Future themes are:
Aug. 12 cabinet (Today!)
Aug. 22 market
Aug. 29 instrument

ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful to see that the two dogs go everywhere together. Such lovely companionship.
ReplyDeleteGot a laugh out of the organized crime joke! Puppies love to follow their favorite dog around and imitate everything they do. Sometimes we don't mind, others it makes us crazy. At least they have each other.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to see the two woofies are such good furriends! It's hard to decide, really, who is whose Shadow.
ReplyDeleteThose two! They are the big and the small of it all.
ReplyDeleteSuch cute and sweet pups! Those were terrific Sparks and fun poems too!
ReplyDeleteIt's National Vinyl Record Day! I need to head to my favorite flea market and look for some classic vinyl. It's going to be a good day. Have a blessed week.
