Awww Monday: She's hardly more than a baby herself!

If you have ever wondered how soon a female cat can physically have kittens, the answer is sooner than you ever thought.  We get mama cats that are barely 6 months old, and when their kittens get to be about 2-3 months, they are already almost as big as their mother!

  2. I didn't know this either, but it makes sense. That's why vets recommend you fix your babies before they are six months old.

    They sure are a bunch of AWWW though.

  4. It's sad but true. That's why we had Missy Moo spayed as soon as we were able to do so. My daughter had another stray wander into her apartment and adopt her. He was tiny, but as a male, he was neutered and released at a very young age. He has the surgically nipped ear.

  6. They are soooo adorable!! But yes, a good reminder of why it is important to spay or neuter; if you don't want to end up with kittens... having kittens.
