Punster

"Really?  Are you serious?  You called me for that!"  Little Girl was yelling into the phone in the kitchen when i walked in, with an incredulous look on her face.

"Okay," she said into the phone a moment later, then hung up.  As she turned to me, she said, "I can't believe it!"

Who was that?

"It's Festus, calling me from downstairs to tell me to make them some mac' and cheese!  Can you believe it, too lazy to either come up here and make their own or even to come up here and ask me in person!"

Sounds like them, all right, i muttered drily.

"Well, I'm going to fix them, that's for sure.  They want mac' and cheese, and that's what they will get!"  With this dire threat, she disappeared from the kitchen to go find her older sister and hatch a conspiracy of some sort.

When i saw her next, she walked into the kitchen and grabbed a slice of American cheese out of the refrigerator.

"We went to McDonalds," she said, holding up a Big Mac and the slice of cheese.  "I'm giving them exactly what they asked for, Mac, and cheese!"

She stalked down the stairs and handed them the items, and the next thing i heard was roars of laughter coming up the stairs.

"One of my best pun tricks ever!" she noted as she came back up.

Agreed.

  2. Ha ha! Even though I'd rather have HER Mac and cheese instead of what they were expecting.

  3. Tabor, they were partly teasing her, and she knew it, it's why teasing back is expected. Plus, they cook other things they like themselves, but they love the way she makes the mac' and cheese.

    Carla, we should!

Stephen, i'm not sure that either is a healthy choice, but you are welcome to come by and have one of hers.

    Thank you, Josie.
