Silly Sunday: Fear of Flying

Silly Sunday is hosted by Sandee, of Comedy Plus.

Silly Sunday is the place to come for weekly laughs.  The rules are simple, just have fun.

This is a great opportunity to get to know other bloggers and have a laugh or two in the process.

Here is how it works: Laugh and Link Up!
  1. Post a joke.
  2. Link Up with the URL to your joke in the Linky Tools Widget.
  3. Read my joke.
  4. Leave a comment to tell me how much you enjoyed my joke.
  5. Try and visit a few others participating in Silly Sunday.
  6. Go to Sandee's site, linked above, and get the Silly Sunday code for your blog, too!

As noted before, our vacation is coming up soon.  Grandma and Grandpa are part owners of a condo on a Florida beach, and so that's where we go.

Someone i was talking to at work the other day asked me if we fly for vacation, and no, we don't.  It's not that far of a drive, and i am terrified of flying, anyway.

Boudreaux be on a flight wit' de Cajun Airlines a while back, an' he be sittin' by dis jolie fille (pretty young lady).  It be her firs' time flyin', an' he can see she be scared.

Den dey hit dem some turbulence, an' de plane be goin' up an' down an' side to side, an' she jes' look so mizerble dat Boudreaux say, "If you be dis scare, you can hold my hand!"

An' she look at Boudreaux, who be him 'bout old 'nough to be her père, an' she lean back an' say, "Mais, no, I don't be dat scared!"

  5. I love your cute Sunday stories! :-) I used to love flying places years ago, they have now made the check-in process so complicated and stressful that it's not much fun, and you have to be there too early to get thru the line in time. It is my opinion that the bad guys will find a way to cause problems no matter what safeguards are put in place, but I'm not sure that I am any more safe on the highways with inattentive drivers on cellphones! I love road trips though, and with a destination like a condo in Florida, that sounds like the perfect drive! :-)
