The stars in their courses, for once, conspired for me instead of against.
One client was out of town, and told me to come on by any time before she got back, in September.
One was sick, and so didn't want me to come over, another had company.
Thus i got to the out-of-town client before her usual day and got it all done.
Today, for the first time in several months, i have a complete day off.
Don't ask me to go anywhere or do anything, i am not traveling any further than my own mailbox!
Linking up with Denise at Girlie On The Edge Blog, where she hosts Six Sentence Stories, and the cue is Mailbox.

Gosia, of Looking for Identity, has taken over Good Fences, and it's now Good Fences Around The World. Post a picture of a fence or gate, link back to her blog, and go visit others blog to see what interesting fences there are out in this big world.
It would be a very nice fence if it could straighten up:
Go home, leaning fence, you're drunk! |

ReplyDeleteI'm in the process of fixing my entire fence. The fence itself is fine but some of base wood is breaking as well as the top section. It will cost some money but it has to be done. See ya Mimi.

ReplyDeleteInteresting that it's the International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and Its Abolition. We happened to visit the home of President James Madison today. A lower floor is devoted to the lives of enslaved persons, as the Madisons had a number of slaves. Madison offered to send some of his slaves to Africa but they did not want to take the long voyage to an unfamiliar land. After his death, his estate dwindled in value as his stepson wasted money and eventually the family was forced to sell off their plantation and the slaves in order to pay debts. A few of them wound up free but most were sold away and sadly were separated from their families.
ReplyDeleteA good day when that's as far as you have to go. Here's hoping there was something special in the mailbox.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed your day off!
