Dryers and a Tube is a Tube, a Random and Happy Tuesday Post

 ***********************************

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus

Carl has continued to put dirty clothes, inside out, on hangers in the closet.  My belief is its a convergence of a couple of things.  First, he takes his clothes off and they are inside out, then he drops them.  Sometimes they land in a dirty clothes basket, most times they land on the floor.

Next, his mother, Ms. V, reminds him he needs to pick up his room before i come over.  Her constant refrain is to get things off the floor because they are a trip hazard.

Carl then goes in to pick up, and he picks up a clothing item from the floor, wondering if it's clean or dirty.  (His clean clothes often end up on the floor, too.)  Not seeing any food or stains or dirt, because it's inside out and all of that is now hidden, he decides the item is clean and hangs it up.

No, it does not occur to him that the clothes are inside out, he has been known to wear clothes that way without realizing it, why would he notice?

Nor did he notice this:

Vanilla frosting in the toothpaste box.

Sorry, the decorative tube of cake frosting does not belong with the toothpaste tubes.

Carl doesn't quite understand dryers, either.  Yesterday i arrived and noted there were clothes in the dryer and they were still damp.  The washer and dryer there, when turned on, automatically show what cycle was used last, and when i turned the dryer on, it was set to Quick Dry.

Quick Dry is a high temp for 30 minutes used to get cloth that is only slightly damp dried out fast.

Carl thinks that it will dry anything fully in only 30 minutes, including a whole load of jeans and shirts.  After all, it says Quick Dry and when it comes up it says 30 minutes, shouldn't it do just as it says?

Speaking of quick, fast, and speedy:

Have a blessed and beautiful Tuesday, everyone!

  2. I can sympathise with Carl and the hung up dirty clothes, my sister does a similar thing with her bedsheets, she changes them as she has been taught, but the dirty ones get folded back into the cupboard without the washing part.
