Feline Friday was originally started by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude (may he rest in peace), and i'm going to believe it's because he liked cats.
He handed hosting duties off to Sandee at Comedy Plus, and now she's entrusting it to me.
Feline Friday is simple to join. All you have to do is: Post a picture, drawing, cartoon or video of a cat (they may be silly or cute). Then add your link!
One thing for sure is this is a fun and easy meme to do. So come and join us in Feline Friday.
What better way to start the weekend than with a feline!
When i arrived at the shelter on Wednesday, i found this.
Which meant someone had escaped because her cage wasn’t properly closed. I searched as i tended kittens and when i caught movement out of the corner of my eye, i snagged her quickly and got her back in her cage.
A little later, she was spayed to be sent to her new home.

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by Lorianne The Menagerie Mom of Four-Legged Furballs. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!
Here are this week's statements with my responses underlined:
1. My _________ is too _________.
2. _________ calls me _________.
3. I'm most likely to take _________ to a potluck.
4. I need to ask _________ for help with _________.
1. My car is too messy, but who has time to clean it?
2. My little Annie calls me G.G (for GranGran), or will when she starts to talk. Red-headed Alec named me this when Lee was born and i figure it can just stick to make everything easier.
3. I'm most likely to take a large crock pot of my cabbage and meat casserole with rice to a potluck. It’s very good (so i’m told), filling and serves a lot of people.
4. I need to ask my Sweetie for help with the sump pump downstairs, he is very good about doing it.

ReplyDeleteWhat a funny little girl! She's must be very smart to figure out how to open her cage from the inside. And she is beautiful as well! Look at all those colours in her fur! I must say if she lived around here, I'd want to scoop her up.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I tried several times to hit on your Feline Friday image, but it didn't respond. I gained access by going directly to your blog from the Cat Blogosphere.

Oh no! I'm glad you got her back into the cage and that she's now in her furever home! Sounds like she's got that "tortitude". :-)
ReplyDeleteThe escapee is a beauty!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I am running backward or forward! I am late on Feline Friday, and Steve was such a great person. Also on the friendly fill ins. I am going to try to get those up tomorrow. Your runaway kitty, was at large for a bit! Happy Mother's Day! You always make me smile.
ReplyDeleteThat kitten is so cute. Earlier today, Dad Tom and I watched a video of a man trying to put kittens from a PTU into a large cage. As soon as he would get one in, the previous one would run out. Never did see if he finally got what appeared to be five kittens contained. One of my friend's grandkids call her GiDa.My other friend's grandkids call her Mimi. I do think whatever the first kid comes up with, that's what will be he name for all of them. XOCK, angels Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta & Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh
ReplyDeleteI bet that little cutie enjoyed her moments of freedom, I'm glad she has a home to go to.

ReplyDeleteOona: "Oona understands, it is fun to sneak out and explore where you don't belong. The door into the garage blew open a couple of times in the last few weeks and Oona got to give it an inspection out there. Unfortunately she didn't find any mice or anything."
ReplyDeleteLulu: "I hope you enjoyed it because I heard that Dada ordered a special hinge spring to make sure that door stays closed even if somebody doesn't make sure the latch catches."
Oona: "Did he. Oona will have to study up on how to sabotage a spring, then ..."
