Selfie! (Wordless Wednesday) and Words for Wednesday, an A to Z Challenge Post

***********************************

Linking up with Wordless WednesdayCatsynthKeith, and Sandee at Comedy Plus.

Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and has become a moveable feast of word or picture or music prompts to encourage us to write stories, poems, or whatever strikes our fancy.

This month, the prompts are being provided by yours truly right here.

This week’s prompts are:

sign

omission

fall

conviction

accompany

commerce

and/or this random sentence

Courage and stupidity were all we had.

Charlotte's colour of the month is Sea Green.

#2 Son and Daughter-in-Law are continuing their plans to move out of the state some time in the FALL, with a daughter who will be just over 2 and a baby boy who will be about 3 months at that time.

It reminds me of being young, when Courage And Stupidity Were All We Had.

They've bought a piece of land, with the CONVICTION they can live on it with the RV for sleeping in and a couple of extra outbuildings fitted with insulation, hooked up to water and electric, and turned into things like bathroom, kitchen, and laundry room.

I don't take it as a SIGN of insanity, but i do often wonder if they realize how much they are trying to do and if they're stretching past their limit.

Also, i'm beginning to wonder if there's an OMISSION somewhere in their plans, a hole or flaw which is going to show itself later.

Whether or no, they are adults forging their own path, and i will support them in their endeavor as much as i can.  I have even been recruited to ACCOMPANY them.  Friend Chris, who used to live here when things were bad with his family, now drives a semi-truck, having the requisite licenses, and is chomping at the bit to drive the RV.  It seems the thing has a special engine, one of the best and strongest ever made for non-COMMERCE use.

Friend Chris will drive the RV, #2 Son will drive his car, and i will drive Daughter-in-Law's car while she tends the children in the back seat of the SUV.

I've seen pictures of the property they've bought, and i'd be Sea Green with envy as it's a beautiful place, but it's just so far away and of course i cannot move as Grandma and Grandpa are here and need my help.

I'm just praying they've actually got things as well-planned as they think, with the electric hook-ups scheduled, the water hook-up done, and with putting in the septic later, right before they move.

  1. Annie is the best selfie I have ever seen. The place your family is moving to sounds wonderful and will be even more so once they build a house with plumbing and electricity. Is it at least closer than Alaska? you will miss seeing Annie and her brother every day.

  2. Awe, so sweet to see Annie up close!
First Carl goes to another place, and soon your own family members will pull up stakes and move away, too. Good thing that these days we can easily communicate with each other, even visually!

  3. Kids moving far away is a loss, but as the saying goes they got their own lives to live. And I'm sure we did the same to our parents ;)

  5. When you are young and starting out, you have big ideas, a lot more energy and if you are going to try to achieve dreams, it is the best time to do it. We sure hope it works for them, but they are adults and they will need to work through everything. Worst case, they are back at your doorstep when it doesn't go well.

  6. I certainly wish good luck to your children moving so far away. That everything gets worked out properly. And look at that Sweet Annie. You won't get enough pictures to keep you satisfied when she moves.
