Love/Hate Relationship

My standing joke about cats is that sometimes i'm so happy to own cats i could just barf. Oh, wait a minute, never mind, one of my thoughtful felines has already done it for me, and right on the bed or in the middle of the floor.Link
Well, lately, i've been feeling the same way about my computer.

Wonderful blogger Leah, over at The Goat's Lunch Pail, blogged about being grateful for her computer.

Most of the time, i agree with her sentiments wholeheartedly.

Lately, it's more of a loving it so much i could just freeze up and quit working. Oh, wait, never mind, the computer is doing it for me.

Don't get me wrong, i love the fact that a computer is easily and quickly available to me in my house, and connected to the internet to boot. What i don't love is having to abandon mine, on which i have my work saved, several times a day, and use one of the others in the house, because mine has to be shut down and restarted yet again when it froze and quit responding.

It makes everything take longer. The other day, i lost a couple of hours worth of stuff because of it acting up.

So i've concluded that there is good and bad in every relationship, even the relationships with the inanimate objects in our lives.

In this case the good outweighs the bad. Just keep reminding me of that when i'm restarting for the seventh time in a day.

  3. How frustrating!

I have a relatively new laptop and it was doing that a lot over the past couple weeks; seems better now. I'm wondering if there were some glitchy windows updates being downloaded or something. Anyway, hopes yours gets better!
