A to Z Challenge: S is for Smart

"Hey, mom, guess what Festus did!"  Knowing #2 Son's best friend, it could be anything.

"Young Jacob brought his boxing gloves last night, so we were boxing, and he hit me in the back of the head so hard, he broke his thumb!"

Really?

"Yes, really!  When we wrestle or fight, he goes crazy!"

Which just goes to show.  Festus may be the Valedictorian of his senior class, but  great grades don't always mean you are too smart.

  3. There's a lot of wrestling that goes on in our house. And were going to a wrestle match this weekend. And ya, we paid the $70 to watch Wrestlemania on Pay Per View the other week. We're a hot mess, ain't we?

  4. I would have thought boxing gloves would protect hands and fingers, but what do I know!

  5. Josie, my kids used to watch a lot, and they love to wrestle and box. Yep, it's a hot mess, and fun if no one gets hurt.

Stephen, they should, but Festus fights crazy and hits hard.

  6. Great post. I think the opposite holds true, as well. Bad grades don't mean a kid is stupid. Common sense can't be taught.

"St. Epipodius of Lyon's Day (Patron of bachelors, betrayal victims, torture victims)" Okay, so, what I want to know is what do bachelors, betrayal victims and torture victims all have in common? Wow.
