Six Sentence Story: Grave

This was, in his opinion, a very grave situation, and he was desperate.  The longing was deep, an aching need that he would go to almost any lengths to fill.

He planned it out carefully, asking her if she would take a ride with him, because, he said, he didn't want to be alone.  Knowing something was up, she looked at the time of day, and sighed over the idea of getting out at rush hour, but went anyway.

Just as she figured, he had planned something out that she wouldn't have agreed to if he'd explained it all up front, because they already had plenty at home and it really wasn't as desperate a need as he was now making it out to be.

But Sweetie just wasn't in the mood to eat what was already prepared for his supper, he had a hankering for his favorite chicken salad, so he plotted and schemed and managed to get me to ride along when he went to get it!
