A "New" Car Tuesday

We made it through Dallas with only one small error requiring an about face.  Turned out that Carmen the Garmin needed to be updated, which has been done.  That's what happens when there is construction.

Back at the ol' hacienda, it turned out that #1 Son had been busy.  Did i mention he totaled his car making a delivery for work?  He was very upset, his chest was hurting badly from the airbag, he had enough cuts and contusions that they had wanted to take him to the hospital, but he wouldn't go.  This was all on the day before we left for Oklahoma, just as we were heading out to pick up a rental car for our travel.

While we were gone, he used Humphrey the Honda to get to work, but we weren't sure what was going to happen once we had to turn the rental in and Sweetie needed the car.  It turned out #1 Son had full coverage, and was given a check for the totaled vehicle.  He scouted around among friends, and found someone who would sell him a car at a great price.  It's one of his former room mates who has taken great care of it and wants to sell the car so as to buy himself a truck.

The purchase of the car happens today, so we have kept the rental until today so everyone had transportation.  This afternoon we turn the rental in, and later in the day, after they are all off of work, one of us will take #1 Son out to the friend's house to complete the transaction.

Meanwhile, "Mom, I'm going to see Abby.  She's being Abby, so I might kill her.  If I'm not back in three hours, assume I took a life and am now in some kind of a program to hide me from the law."

Bigger Girl is always talking about killing Abby, but not really.

  4. I hope your son is feeling better. At least the airbag did its job.

You have the most interesting car stories. It seems to be something you talk about often.

I'm sure Abby will be fine, but your daughter will probably tell her what for.

    Have a fabulous day. ☺
