Silly Sunday: Too Far South

Silly Sunday is hosted by Sandee, of Comedy Plus.

Silly Sunday is the place to come for weekly laughs.  The rules are simple, just have fun.

This is a great opportunity to get to know other bloggers and have a laugh or two in the process.

Here is how it works: Laugh and Link Up!
1. Post a joke.
2. Link Up with the URL to your joke in the Linky Tools Widget.
3. Read my joke.
4. Leave a comment to tell me how much you enjoyed my joke.
5. Try and visit a few others participating in Silly Sunday.
7. Go to Sandee's site, linked above, and get the Silly Sunday code for your blog, too!

Yesterday's visit to Grandma and Grandpa was as enjoyable as usual, with the added benefit that Little Girl came with me.

We got to talk in the car and while down there.  She noted that she knows she's really left childhood behind now.  "You know it's over," she said with a sigh, "when you find yourself doing the responsible, adult thing and ordering jumper cables for your car so you will have them in case of emergency."

She also discussed life with roommates, the good and the bad.  She has one roommate that often takes her share of the food they all buy.

Boudreaux know what it be like to share food wit' de roommates.  Back when he go away to college, he met him people from aroun' de country.  One time dey be talkin' 'bout havin' dem some chicken fo' dinner.

The roommate from California said, "Since I'm from the left coast, I'll have the left wing of the chicken!"

The roommate from Boston said, "Since I'm from the right coast, I'll have the right wing!"

The roommate from Vermont said, "Since I'm from the North, I'll have the neck!"

An' den Boudreaux say, "Mais, since I be from de south, I ain't DAT hungry!"
