Sparks is the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, who wanted us to post something positive and uplifting at the start of the week. While she no longer blogs, i like to post an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border. Jenny at Procrastinating Donkey is on a blog semi-break and her poetry is sorely missed, we hope she comes back soon. Charlotte/Mother Owl participates, and now Karen at Baking in a Tornado is jumping in at least once a month, too. Anyone else is welcome to join in the fun, just let Diane know!
This week the theme is Pets.
It's A Good Life
It's a good life,
being your pet.
You feed me well,
and the treats I get!
It's a good life,
you clean my mess,
and comfort me if
I'm in distress.
It's a good life,
I can molt or shed
and you still don't
banish me from your bed.
It's a good life,
everything I need
is always provided
with all due speed.
It's a good life,
we walk or play,
you love to include me
in your every day.
It's a good life,
when I get sick,
I may not like the vet
but you get me there quick.
It's a good life,
don't ever forget,
I love you Mom, Dad!
Signed, Your Pet

ReplyDeleteMore lovely kittens. Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
If Mom ever gets another cat, a tortoiseshell is the kind she would like to have. Right now she isn't sure she will ever get another. The two cats we have were adopted as adults and for sure she will never do that again as they have been trouble since day one.
ReplyDeleteAS soon as I saw the theme for today's Poetry Monday, I knew I'd be here reading a really sweet pet poem. And, of course, you didn't disappoint.
ReplyDeleteAwww on the cute kittens. They won't last long. So cute.

The little torties are so cute!
ReplyDeleteThe kittens are so very sweet. I hope they find good homes. My friend recently adopted a rescue dog. It was a huger litter, 10 puppies in all. Large bred. One was left. My heart broke f=or that one left behind. when we adopted Thor and Loki I told my middle girl, do not leave one behind. Those brothers belong together. SO now this is how we have too many pets. But we love them and they rule so I think they have a nice life. I love the poem too! HUGS to you for all your talents. Enjoy the new week.
