Oliver Twist (Feline Friday), Friendly Fill-Ins and Nature Friday

 ***********************************

Feline Friday was originally started by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude (may he rest in peace), and i'm going to believe it's because he liked cats.

He handed hosting duties off to Sandee at Comedy Plus, and now she's entrusting it to me.

Feline Friday is simple to join.  All you have to do is: Post a picture, drawing, cartoon or video of a cat (they may be silly or cute).  Then add your link!

One thing for sure is this is a fun and easy meme to do.  So come and join us in Feline Friday.

What better way to start the weekend than with a feline!

Oliver Twist was a 7-month-old dumpster diver cat Ms. GA's daughter found and brought to her mama and he has always been skinny as a rail.  He's been tested for everything, eats canned food twice a day and gets all the dry kibble he wants and stays this way.  Several years ago, i had to pill him and only now he is starting to forgive me and let me pet him sometimes.

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by Lorianne The Menagerie Mom of Four-Legged Furballs. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!

Here are this week's statements with my responses underlined:

1. I wish I could believe that _________, but I don't.

2. I am all _________ed out.

3. I'm very picky about _________.

4. I don't mind _________ as long as _________.

1. I wish I could believe that   there really are elves and fairies,   but I don't.

2. I am all   tuckered out   by bedtime each night.

3. I'm very picky about   separating trash and recycling.

4. I don't mind   cooking dishes with meat in them   as long as   i don't have to eat them.

Nature Friday is hosted by LLB in Our Backyard Simply post a picture of the natural world, and link up!

Mr. BA works very hard to keep his garden green.

It's National Take Your Cat to the Vet Day, and is now celebrated as an International Day, too.  It was started by a vet in the US who declared today a cat's only day for his practice, so his feline patients wouldn't be upset by any dogs in the place.  There are now many vets who schedule "cats only" days throughout the year, to make going a little less traumatizing for felines.

Thanks to Barb Kowalik and The Cat Blogosphere for the event badge.

  1. Oliver Twist is a handsome and lucky boy to get his forever home. Cats are like humans, some are very slim no matter how much they eat.
Good fill ins. I always separate the recycling into the different crates.

  4. Some people are skinny their whole lives and eat like crazy but others look at food and put on weight. As long as kitty is happy and healthy, it is how he was made I guess. Mom is big on separating recycling too.

  5. Oliver Twist is a very handsome kitty. Too bad he can't gain a little weight with all the food that he does eat. And when you look at that green garden, wow. I recycle everything that I can here, so I can get aggravated and I have to close my windows because my neighbor is burning all of his years worth of Amazon boxes.

  20. That looks like a very bountiful garden, so healthy looking too. Oliver Twist is handsome despite being skinny. Our Angel. Phantom was like that, always thin as a rail, but only a fair eater. Mom called him Mr. Picky.
