Mr. Cal's Sniffing Adventure (Awww Monday), Inspiring Quote of the Week and Poetry Monday, Tea Fusing

***********************************

Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.

Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays.  Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.

Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you.  What better way to start the week than with a smile!

Mr. Cal has arthritis and has been having a bit of trouble on his morning walks.  Mr. J now gives him the arthritis meds in the morning, and it helps get him through the day better.  He had a good sniffing adventure on our walk yesterday.

He sniffed the cement.

He sniffed the posts and poles.

He sniffed plants.

He sniffed grass.

He sniffed ground cover.

He even sniffed dirt and rocks.

After, he got his treat and hid in his bed to eat it.

He was one pooped pup when it was over.

You know it was a great walk because he ran out of p-mail ink!

Sparks is the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, who wanted us to post something positive and uplifting at the start of the week.  While she no longer blogs, i like to post an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

***********************************

Our dear friend Diane is taking a break

accommodations we must make

we miss her poetry and wit

so carry on as Poetry Monday's a hit!

Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border Charlotte/Mother Owl and i are keeping it going while she takes a blog break, we hope temporarily.  Anyone else is welcome to join in the fun, just let us know!

This week the theme is Tea Fusing.

*******

I'd no idea what "tea fusing"

was even meant to be,

so i went online,

to see what i could see.

Turns out it's blending traditions

from tea culture around the world

or blending different countries' teas

making unique blends all swirled.

I really like the idea of it

and i'll research more, 'til then,

i will simply reach for my peppermint tea

when next i have the yen.

*******

the very wealthy

have a certain tea they like

they buy proper-ty

*******

No matter what, each morning

it's a cup of coffee for me,

Brother-in-law says no,

it's not his cup of tea!

*******

If tea and coffee marry

and tea leaves, of course,

does this give the coffee

good grounds for divorce?

Future themes are:

September 15 Tea Fusing (Today!)

September 22 Kitchen

September 29 Snuggles

October 6 Water

October 13 Contrast

  2. Since I am a tea drinker your Sparks are just perfect today. It's wonderful that Mr Cal can still get out and take a nice walk and check for signs of other activity with his nose.

  3. Sniffing along on a walk is like reading the news for us pups. We are sure he had a wonderful time. It also makes us tired because it takes a lot of brain power to process all the smells.
