No More, Baby

It's official.

Little Girl, the youngest of my children, is now 13.

There are no more little kids in my house, or even tweens. Until #1 Son turns 20 in July, in fact, there are 4 teens in the house. Wow.

This birthday was better than the last one for her. Last year, her brother had built a bike ramp and helped her to a broken arm two days before.

This year, she got a spaghetti dinner and cake, the latter accompanied by the worst rendition of "Happy Birthday" i have ever heard. Sweetie, the musician, swears it was sung in 4 1/2 different keys. That wouldn't surprise me, with the crew we always have around here.

So no more baby around the house, except for the kitten babies, of course. That's okay, i'll wait for grandchildren, and i want college graduations and weddings first, please. Call me old fashioned, it's the responsible way.

  1. Mimi,...been taking it all in (from past several days of your posts)!!! What a terrific birthday - and I'm old-fashioned,too. The "first-aid boy" - hehheh.
All the continued trauma to your hands! I commiserate, 'cause I seem to be getting one small injury after the other -- claw cut on one finger tip, and today, a fall. sheesh.
Loved all the April jokes -- got a BIG kick out of the last one...oh, my! lol!
The barn adoptions...great! And, yes, kinda rare, indeed. As you said, we rural folk are already overrun - never a shortage of dumped animals in the country.
Gabriel - praying for him to hang on and start eating. He's gonna - I feel it.
    Festus -- farrah??

    Hugs,
    PG

  2. Dear PonyGirl,

Glad you've been enjoying the craziness around here. That last joke truly is my favorite.

As for 'Festus. #2 Son has taken to calling her Festival, which i guess doesn't matter as she will be renamed once she is adopted.

Yes, Gabriel is eating again, too.

  4. Four teenagers, one you.
You're doomed... um, I meant to type "unnumbered."
If all else fails, you can always threaten to post their baby pics on Facebook. That should bring 'em into line fast ;)
