Not Holding My Breath

This is south Louisiana, where the two favorite spectator sports are politics and football.

Everyone else may be holding their breath for the Iowa Caucuses, but around here the Saints are the only thing i hear about.

There are people saying the New Orleans team has what it takes to go all the way once again and win a second Super Bowl. They believe this is the Saints' year.

As for me, i'm not holding my breath on that. It would be lovely, but this soon? Somehow, i don't expect the netherworld to freeze over again so soon.

  1. Saints winning works for me! I thought it was a good game when they won last time, and you know, Scratch needs to dig out that parka from time to time... :)

  2. I'm a 49er fan, which has been a painful experience for the last twenty years or so... but they're finally doing better. Good luck to the Saints, unless & until they play the 49ers, in which case sorry, gotta root for my boys.

  3. Cat, it would be nice; it's just so unusual. Guess it will take getting used to.

Crabby, you must root for your own team, no matter what. Stay true to your colors, and good luck to the 49ers.
