Silly Sunday: Up And At 'Em!

Silly Sunday is hosted by Sandee, of Comedy Plus.

Silly Sunday is the place to come for weekly laughs.  The rules are simple, just have fun.

This is a great opportunity to get to know other bloggers and have a laugh or two in the process.

Here is how it works: Laugh and Link Up!

  1. Post a joke.
  2. Link Up with the URL to your joke in the Linky Tools Widget.
  3. Read my joke.
  4. Leave a comment to tell me how much you enjoyed my joke.
  5. Try and visit a few others participating in Silly Sunday.
  6. Go to Sandee's site, linked above, and get the Silly Sunday code for your blog, too!

The worst part of traveling to NOLA to visit Grandma and Grandpa is waking up the sleepyheads in our house.  There have been times in the past where i've had to practically blast kids out of bed to get them ready to travel.

Boudreaux done solve dat pro'lem wit' his son, Tee.  One day, Thibodeaux be complain' 'bout how hard it be to waken dem chillens, an' Boudreaux he say, "I don' got no pro'lem wakin' up Tee."

"How you get him up?"Thibodeaux ax.

"Well I jes' put de cat in de bed wit' him," say Boudreaux.

"How dat gonna wake him up?" Thibodeaux wanna know.

"Mais," say Boudreaux, "Phideaux, de dog, be in de bed wit' Tee already, an' Phideaux don' like de cat!"

A Happy Mother's Day to all!

  5. For real, Mom would put the dog in bed, and it would lick my feet. I was up fast! But I think Boudreaux is on to something there!

  6. A dog and a cat in the bed probably works better than an alarm clock.
