(Because some people like Blogger and some like WordPress, i am putting the same content at both.  If you would prefer to read this on the other site, it is linked here.)

Easter Peace: It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart. - Author unknown

Praying all of you have a Blessed Easter.  He is Risen!  He is Risen, Indeed!

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

Almost every time i send the husband or a child to go find something for me, i end up wishing i hadn’t.

Boudreaux done be out in de shop when he decide he want him de pliers he done lef’ in de house de las’ time he was fixin’ som’pin.  He see dat Tee be out in de yard, so he call de boy over.

“Tee, I wants you to go in de house and get de plier I done lef’ in de kitchen by de sink,” he say, an’ Tee done say, “Oui, Père,” an’ in he go.

Long ‘bout five minute later, while Boudreaux be fussin’ in his mind over what be takin’ so long, Tee come out an’ say, “Père, I don’ see de plier in de kitchen.”

Boudreaux done shake hims head an’ say, “Never min’!” an’ he go in, an sure ‘nuff dere be de plier, in de kitchen not far from de sink.

Boudreaux start fussin’, an’ Clothile done ax, “What be wrong?”

Boudreaux done tell her ‘bout how Tee cain’t find him de plier dat be right dere, an’ Clothile say, “Mebbe he jes’ din’t see it.  Sometime de chillun cain’t he’p dat dey cain’t fin’ som’pin.”

An’ Boudreaux say, “Mais, cain’t he’p it!  I don’ believe dat!  Ever’ year at Easter dey fin’ dem ever’ egg dat rabbit done leave, dat prove dey can fin’ ennyt’in’ dey wants to fin’ if dey wants it bad ‘nuff!”

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It is now hosted by River at Drifting Through Life.

A couple of weeks ago, i featured all of the artwork in one bedroom of a client’s house.  This is the dining room:

That Cajun joke. I can so relate selective vision and hearing are things all children (and sometimes their parents too) have in common.
