From Last Week or So (Feline Friday) and Friendly Fill-Ins

***********************************

Feline Friday was started by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude, and i'm going to believe it's because he likes cats.
He has handed hosting duties off to Sandee, of Comedy Plus, and it's simple to join, just follow the link to Sandee's page for the rules and the code.

While i have kept my eyes open, i have not seen cats on vacation.  That doesn’t mean there aren’t any, it means all the cats on this island are in their homes where they belong. Strays have to be caught, fixed, and released to feral colonies elsewhere if they are not tamable, as there are endangered small animals here that would soon become extinct if stray cats stayed.

All that to say, these are from the last time we cleaned the shelter:

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by Lorianne The Menagerie Mom of Four-Legged Furballs. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!

Here are this week's statements with my responses underlined:

1. __________________ motivates me to __________________.

2. I put salt on _________________.

3. When it comes to _________, I don’t cut corners.

4. Never forget _________.

1. Wanting to buy groceries and pay off our debts  motivates me to   go to work even though i would rather retire.

2. I put salt on   almost nothing these days.  The family genetic propensity (both sides) toward high blood pressure has struck and i can feel it when i eat too much salt.

3. When it comes to   serving my clients,  I don’t cut corners.

4. Never forget   if you read and comment here, you are prayed for every day.

  1. The kittens are total cuties - but I mourn that there are so many. And that those who find their way to the shelter are often the lucky ones.
No added salt here either. And even a little tastes too much now.

  2. I love the big happy smile on the kitty in the second picture :)
My neighbour-across-the-driveway seems to have learned how to keep his remaining cat inside. We were talking about the one who got hit by a car and died, and I mentioned my cat. He said "I didn't know you had a cat" I said "that's because she lives inside where she is supposed to" and I think he got the message.

  8. I adore kitties and if Lucy would allow us we would have a few more! The only way I use salt is getting rid of all the slugs in the garden.....they are truly slimy pests! Take care and be safe always!

  11. The only thing I can think of that I put salt on is fresh cucumber slices. Those kittens, little balls of energy, I suspect! And thank you for the prayers, too!

  12. Salt rarely used here either as hubby has genetic high blood pressure. My one exception is fresh tomatoes.
