Sometimes You Just Know, a Random and Happy Tuesday Post

***********************************

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus

Do you ever just know something is about to happen when a day starts?

Yesterday, i just knew.  When i was praying, i knew i needed to pray for extra angels to surround Bigger Girl and er vehicle for some reason.

Somehow i just knew Dr. D was going to be on a tear, and i prayed for peace and strength and to keep cheerful and remember there is only love.

Boy, did we need it all.

Dr. D had been on the phone with ATT forever the day before, trying to figure out what was wrong, why her phone kept dropping the wifi signal, why she was charged for a data overage.

She ranted about how “data” is the wrong word to use, she is a PhD in economics, she’s knows data, and getting online is not data.

Anyway, things went downhill from there.  The physical therapy place won’t answer the phone, you have to leave a message and get called back.  The TV quit working, too, so something was really wrong with ATT.  The secretary at the cousin’s place of business wouldn’t cooperate.

In the middle of it all, a distraught call from Bigger Girl.  You have probably already guessed, another car wreck.  Again, she has rear-ended someone.

This time, her car will still run, it just looks more banged up than ever.  She greeted me with, “Mom, the car still runs, and I talked to my friends who work on cars, I was going to their place tonight anyway, and they said they would fix whatever it needs for parts and a case of beer.  Thank goodness for rednecks!”

The nice gentleman who’d been driving the other car when she took a sip of hot coffee and didn’t brake hard enough laughed, as did his supervisor (it was a company car, he’d had to call a supervisor, they were both very, very nice about it).  No injuries, both cars still in working order though in need of some repair, mostly cosmetic.

You have no idea how glad i will be when she moves to where there is good public transportation and can quit driving.  Or maybe you do have an idea.

Anyway, after going over and offering her moral support, i got back to Dr. D’s and finished everything up.

Anyone for some family photos, forwarded by Grandma, of course.  (These might or might not be photoshopped, but they are good.)

Have a great Tuesday, everyone!

And I am very glad to hear that your challenging day wasn't disastrous, as it so easily could have been.

  2. I love the laughing dolphins. We had a news clip on TV a couple of days ago where we saw a pod of 45 dolphins swimming and playing just off the coast near my city, but further south at Port Elliott.

  3. Fun photos, whether photoshopped or not. You might nbe some sort of record holder for near-disasters. May they all remain so.

  7. Mimi,

The laughing dolphins and that huddle of penguins made me smile. :D Oh boy, am I glad your daughter wasn't hurt or that the person she hit didn't make a stink about it. It could've gone so differently. I'm always on to my daughter for talking and driving. If I call her, then I say, call me when you get home. Talking on a phone is too distracting. Heck, talking to someone in the car is too distracting but I think your brain processes it differently. Have a good week. Let's hope it goes better here on. :)

  8. You day could have been worse, but it was bad enough. Sorry about the car accident. That can drive up the insurance bill for sure. She wasn't hurt so that's the good thing.

Dr. D. is a whirlwind. I wouldn't be able to work for her. I know me. I know me so very well. I salute you for hanging in there.

Love all the cute pictures. I said Awww.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

  10. Ouch! Accidents are the worst. Glad everyone was safe. Some days are better then other days aren't they? Customer Service is truly lacking in our world today.Love the photos. Our youngest daughter and her hubby are taking our grandson Colton to Niagara Falls today. I shared the Niagara Falls fact you have here but Hannah knew it. When the visitors center is opened all the people who made it or not across the falls are mentioned. I sure love history. Thanks for all you share. HUGS and Have a blessed day.
