New at the Laundromat Library, a Six Sentence Story

Sweetie and i decided, since we would be on the end of town where the laundromat is to clean Ms. SE's house, that we might as well plan to do our own laundry once we finished the job.

Of course, my back rebels at the thought of folding lots of laundry, my childhood falling-out-of-a-tree back injury, blown off at the time as simply one of those things that happens to kids, haunts me after one load.

This meant, too, that the boys are back from camp and vacation and visiting grandparents for the summer, so there would be a ton of laundry to fold at the job.

Even still, doing our own laundry on Ms. SE's day saves us from having to find another day and drive to a part of town we don't visit often otherwise, so i hate to waste the opportunity.

This time, i'm so glad we didn't quit after Ms. SE's place and go home, or i would have missed the chance to catch up on how our laundromat library is doing, which is quite well.

Also, the laundromat owner has added something new that i didn't expect -- a cup with free bookmarks, what a treat for those who choose to take a book home with them instead of just read it right t3here.
