Feline Friday was originally started by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude (who no longer blogs), and i'm going to believe it's because he likes cats.
He handed hosting duties off to Sandee at Comedy Plus, and now she's entrusting it to me.
Feline Friday is simple to join. All you have to do is: Post a picture, drawing, cartoon or video of a cat (they may be silly or cute). Then add your link!
One thing for sure is this is a fun and easy meme to do. So come and join us in Feline Friday.
What better way to start the weekend than with a feline!
When i was caretaking at the shelter, Chance had managed to tie his bottom cage door closed with the string portion of a wand toy. I got it released and put it where he could play with it while I was out there taking care of all the kitties and could keep an eye on him.
(Please remember these toys need to be given to your cat only when you can supervise. Chewing and swallowing the strings or cords can be dangerous.)

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by Lorianne The Menagerie Mom of Four-Legged Furballs. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!
Here are this week's statements with my responses underlined:
1. Some of my favorite Christmas songs are _________ and _________.
2. I like to watch _________ every year at Christmastime.
3. I would call this the most _________ time of the year.
4. If I were on Santa's naughty list, it would probably be because _________.
1. Some of my favorite Christmas songs are _________ and _________. Two of my favorite serious Christmas songs are O Holy Night and Mary Did You Know (with an honorable mention going to What Child is This). Two of my favorite silly Christmas songs are I'm Gettin' Nuttin' For Christmas and I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas.
2. I like to watch A Charlie Brown Christmas every year at Christmastime.
3. I would call this the most busy time of the year.
4. If I were on Santa's naughty list, it would probably be because the traffic around here almost always has me on the verge of losing my religion.

ReplyDeleteI am over Christmas songs blaring from the malls (which I try and avoid).
Oh, I like your friendly fill-ins. The traffic could probably make even a saint lose his religion sometimes.
ReplyDeleteSome people don't realize the trouble cats can get themselves into. Just like puppies or dogs, they will eat things and it can be dangerous.
ReplyDeleteThere is no doubt that the Charlie Brown movie gives us all a good chuckle. Sweet kitty with the toy in your pictures. I'll never forget one Precious first moved in with us that she had a string toy in the next day I realize that she ate that toy on the end of the string and part of the string. I was in a panic for days. Thank goodness it all worked out okay.
ReplyDeleteOh holy night, the stars are brightly shining... Such a beautiful song.
ReplyDeleteCute kitty. Important warning about those toys. Thanks for hosting Feline Friday and for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. Beautiful song choices. I could never deal with traffic. XO
ReplyDeleteThat silly kitty locking himself in like that! Those were good answers too!
ReplyDeleteChance is lucky to have you looking out for him, especially when there's something fishy going on!
ReplyDeleteBoy, that's some set-up he has with the splashy hammock and all. He's a very handsome kitty and I hope he finds his furever home very soon.
Mom always worries about things with strings.
ReplyDeleteCute kitten pictures were exactly what I needed to see this morning.
ReplyDeleteAdorable kitty. Great fill ins. We had the same answer for #3. It's definitely a busy time of year. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteAhhh the dreaded strings, our P.A. is the same, no unsnoopervised play is allowed at BBHQ! What a cute kitty and a supurr hammock, we're jealous of the hammock for sure! MOL
ReplyDeleteI can understand your answer to #4 completely.
ReplyDeleteHello sweet kitty
Hugs Cecilia
Chance is very mischievous. I agree, anything with strings can be dangerous. When Eric was half grown I heard him hissing which he never did. He had been playing with a ball on a string attaches to the cat tree and the string had wrapped around his leg and the more he pulled the tighter it got. I cut it off and made sure there was nothing else anywhere similar. Thankfully he wasn't hurt, only frightened.
ReplyDeleteCute kitty photo ~ Agree that stringy toys can be dangerous for kitties and doggies ~ Xo
ReplyDeleteWishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

Chance is beautiful. i haven't ever seen the Charlie Brown Christmas movie. We haven't heard too many Chrustmas songs in the stores yet, but if I hear Mariah Carey, I'll be walking out with an empty trolley!
ReplyDeleteWhat a smart cat! And that's a good reminder about the toys. Our cat toys like that are packed away when they're not supervised. Have a wonderful weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteWe are so glad you were there to help Chance out, and to make sure he got some supervised play time with that string toy. Good reminder!
