Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.
Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays. Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.
Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you. What better way to start the week than with a smile!
Lulu knows if she asks, and waits, eventually she gets.
Ask for scritches and wait, you get scritches, ask for bacon from the baked potato and wait quietly, you get bacon, ask for won ton strips from the soup, you get won ton strips.

Sparks is the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, who wanted us to post something positive and uplifting at the start of the week. While she no longer blogs, i like to post an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

Our dear friend Diane is taking a break
accommodations we must make
we miss her poetry and wit
so carry on as Poetry Monday's a hit!
Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border. Charlotte/Mother Owl and i are keeping it going while she takes a blog break, we hope temporarily. Anyone else is welcome to join in the fun, just let us know!
My Nana had a treasure chest,
it's what i liked to play with best
when i was very small.
In it she kept what to my eyes
were treasures of the greatest size,
things i liked best of all.
On top there was her make-up case
which on the vanity i would place
and make myself look pretty.
Next there was her jewelry box
with its double clasping locks,
it all went on, though i was bitty.
She kept a very fancy gown,
and a little lower down
matching shoes, which i confess,
were worn with giddiness and glee
as i'd become a princess fairy,
though it was a wedding dress.
Her treasure chest brought hours of fun,
and once my playing time was done,
i'd put it all away.
Until the next visit, for it i'd sigh,
and now i remember with misty eye,
each happy, by-gone day.
Two of Nana's pieces of costume jewelry. |
Future themes are:
May 6 chest (Today!)
May 13 event
May 20 pizza

ReplyDeleteLulu: "The waiting is the hardest part, just like the song says, but the rewards are definitely worth it!"
