Feline Friday was originally started by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude (may he rest in peace), and i'm going to believe it's because he liked cats.
He handed hosting duties off to Sandee at Comedy Plus, and now she's entrusting it to me.
Feline Friday is simple to join. All you have to do is: Post a picture, drawing, cartoon or video of a cat (they may be silly or cute). Then add your link!
One thing for sure is this is a fun and easy meme to do. So come and join us in Feline Friday.
What better way to start the weekend than with a feline!
This is not the Feline Friday i originally had planned.
Ms. G's cat Angel has had kidney disease for years along with other problems, and a cranky, very un-angelic disposition her whole life. We still loved her.
This past Monday, Ms. G came home to find Angel had been sick all over at least five times, and she was hunched and miserable and when life isn't fun any more for the cat and you've done all you can medically, let go, as hard as it is.

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by Lorianne The Menagerie Mom of Four-Legged Furballs. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!
Here are this week's statements with my responses underlined:
1. My plans for the long weekend include _________.
2. _________ is the messiest person I know.
3. I can't thank _________ enough for _________.
4. I don't understand why so many people _________.
1. My plans for the long weekend include all the usual stuff, work, church, work.
2. Me, myself and i is the messiest person I know. Let's face it, who wants to clean when you come home from a cleaning job?
3. I can't thank _________ enough for _________. So many answers i could put here, the Good Lord, Grandma and Grandpa (my parents, my children's grandparents), my best teachers in school, there's no way to thank all of them for all they have done for me.
4. I don't understand why so many people treat every trip in their car like A Day at the Races.

ReplyDeleteI hope you find some time to rest on your long weekend.
I totally agree with your fill-ins this time around. And I - like EC - hope that your long weekend will include some rest too, and a cake ;)
ReplyDeleteIt is sad to say goodbye to a beloved member of the family. It is the hardest but kindest decision to make.
ReplyDeleteSweet Angel Angel.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the kitty, but there comes a time when you just know it is time to face the end and it is the humane thing to do, although it is so very hard.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear that Angel is doing so poorly. I don't like to see animals suffer especially if nothing can be done for them medically. Still, it's very difficult to let them go.
ReplyDeleteWe're sending purrs and prayers for Angel. Great answers.
ReplyDeletePoor Angel. I can't tell from the post if her owner let her go, but it sounds like time. So sad. Thank you for hosting Feline Friday and for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I drive like an old lady so I tend to annoy all the racers. :) XO
ReplyDeleteI'm very sorry to hear about dear Angel, it's never, ever easy. Those were good answers, especially #4, we wonder that all the time here too.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about beautiful Angel. It's very sad when they get so sick.
ReplyDeleteAngel Madi fought kidney disease for 2 1/2 years.
ReplyDeleteI understand and send hugs to you about Angel
Beautiful nature
Cecilia
Sorry to hear about the cat.

ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about Angel!
ReplyDeleteHugs to all of Angel's people...
ReplyDeleteI read "no fry day" and brain did the hmm, oven, then? Didn't realize it was people skin! Oops...
Cat
Letting go of my cat two years ago was one of the hardest days of my life, but it was clear her time had come and it was for the best. I believe she'd be happy I rescued two more after that. :)
ReplyDeleteyes, sounds like it is time to let go of the loved kitty ~ lovely post ~ and floral photos ~ hugs,
ReplyDeleteWishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

That's so heartbreaking about Angel. We are so sorry she is doing so poorly. It's never easy letting them go, is it? Good answers to those fill-ins. Your #4 resonated with us -- where are so many people going in such a hurry???
ReplyDeleteSo sad to hear about angel. Hopefully she's joined someother angels now.
ReplyDeleteI used to be a crazy driver, now I get annoyed when I see people driving the way I used to!
So sorry to hear about your Angel. What a heavy time this must be for Ms G😿 Your answers on the fill ins are excellent, and we completely understand about the cleaning time and the races. Granny has a sticker on her car, because she's as slow as a turtle...imagine how many drivers get insane when she's drives in front of them😸😺Double Pawkisses for a Happy Sunday🐾😽💞
ReplyDeleteCharlee: "Aww, we are very sorry to hear about Angel."
ReplyDeleteChaplin: "Run free over the Rainbow Bridge, pretty girl, with no more kidney disease or anything else to worry about, just lots of bugs and butterflies to chase."
Oona: "Oona and the other kitties send lots of purrs for Angel."
Lulu: "And we dogs send lots of tail wags!"
