Trickle to Flood (Feline Friday), Friendly Fill-Ins and Nature Friday

 ***********************************

Feline Friday was originally started by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude (may he rest in peace), and i'm going to believe it's because he liked cats.

He handed hosting duties off to Sandee at Comedy Plus, and now she's entrusting it to me.

Feline Friday is simple to join.  All you have to do is: Post a picture, drawing, cartoon or video of a cat (they may be silly or cute).  Then add your link!

One thing for sure is this is a fun and easy meme to do.  So come and join us in Feline Friday.

What better way to start the weekend than with a feline!

It starts as a trickle and ends in a flood.

Kitten season is upon us, and we see more every week at the shelter.

Please spay and neuter your pets, adopt if you can and want to share your home with a pet, and spread the word.  We do what we can, but we can't do everything alone.

***********************************

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by Lorianne The Menagerie Mom of Four-Legged Furballs. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!      /

Here are this week's statements with my responses underlined:

1. I ____________ but not ________________.

2. Just because I __________ doesn’t mean ___________________.

3. Am I the only one who _________?

4. I used to _________, but then I learned _________.

1. I   try to work hard  but not   so hard as to injure myself or burn out.

2. Just because I   eat a weirdo vegetarian diet   doesn’t mean   i won't come to your house for dinner, i'll just bring along something i can have that we can all share if you'd like to try it.

3. Am I the only one who   never, ever catches up on blog reading and sleeping?

4. I used to   just use a pumice stone to descale a toilet,  but then I learned   about using drywall sanding screen and Ring King.  Now i use all three until one of them works!

  1. I have always neutered my pets and my cats have mostly been the adopted kind.

  2. I am with River. I really like your idea of taking along something you can eat to share to a dinner party. And no, you are not alone in being behind in blog reading and sleep.

  3. Those kittens are sweet but it is a shame so many people won't neuter. Most of our cats before Eric and Flynn weren't so much adopted, but turned up looking for someone to love them. There used to be a Naval estate a couple of fields away, and when they were posted somewhere else some would just leave their pets behind.

  4. What gorgeous kittens, and so many! I do hope they all find loving homes and receive the vet care they need. I'm loving those gorgeous fuschia flowers, too.

  5. Mom is quite happy with no cats right now. It is the first time since she was seven years old. If she ever gets another it will be a female calico she says. We hope all the little ones find good homes.

  6. Which is more lovely, flowers or kittens? But the flowers are easier to take care of and control. Out of control cats with too many kittens, that is sad. Wish people would spay and neuter. You are good to volunteer with all these lovely babies. Hope they find homes.

  14. Charlee: "Ahh, yes, kitten season. The shelters here are all full and so are the rescues."
Chaplin: "Charlee and I were early kitten season kittens. Fortunately Mama spotted us and we got out of there before things got too crowded."
Oona: "Oona never made it to the shelter because Mama intercepted her while Dada's cousin was looking after her and her brother. Lucky thing, she has heard black cats are slow to be adopted. She has no idea why that would be."
Charlee: "Neither do we. We just wish all the kitties could find good homes."
