This Thankful Day finds me almost incommunicado as my phone is about kaput. I'm thankful for the spare phone although it is of limited use.
I'm thankful we are searching for ways to get my photos off of it in its current debilitated state.
After Daughter-in-Law's trip to the hospital the week before, i put off our Saturday jaunt to NOLA to clean Grandma and Grandpa's house until noon, so i could help with little Annie and give her more time to rest. I was thankful Grandma and Grandpa agreed to the plan, although Grandpa fussed a bit about us leaving so late to go home.
Once we got into Slow-Moe for the trip to NOLA, the check engine light was on and i asked my Sweetie about it. He said it was nothing, the gas cap had been loose when he went to gas up the car but now it was back on correctly and it should take care of the problem. I'm thankful it did, the light went off when we were heading home.
I'm also thankful by powering through as fast as possible, we got their house cleaned in record time, all except being able to fold the towels which were still in the dryer.
Our church Sexton recently suffered the loss of his mother and this past Sunday he was not available as he usually is. I was thankful to step in a move a table and chairs for an event sign-up, something he didn't have time to do.
Monday went well and i was thankful to get to see Ms. JAI. She is so worried about our car situation, especially with me driving with no A/C in this heat, she was trying to figure ways to help us find a better car. I'm thankful for her concern even if we can't act on it.
I very much enjoyed my Tuesday with our little Annie. She and i had the best afternoon nap together, i'm thankful to be so close and get to be with her often.
Wednesday mornings i usually have a shift at the cat shelter but both morning shifts were taken, which is odd. It meant they had nothing for me to do so i came home and got caught up on a few things, i was thankful for the extra time.
Ms. G and i were thankful to accomplish a good bit in the time i was there and next time, she wants to dust. As much as dusting with her is not an exciting thing, i am thankful it's indoor work.
The children have been out of town all summer at Ms. SE's house and the house was very easy to clean Thursday morning. My Sweetie and i were thankful to get it done so quickly and thankful due to an early start, i was in plenty of time for my pre-surgery check up with Dr. BowTie.
I'm thankful the check-up was routine and went well and i'm cleared for having the other cataract removed next month.
My partner at the shelter for the Friday evening shift had to be out this week, i'm thankful i was able to get her work and mine done in two hours flat!
Please write up your own list and link up to Ten Things of Thankful, where Clark and his co-hosts always have a warm welcome waiting.
