Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.
Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays. Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.
Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you. What better way to start the week than with a smile!
Little Annie knows reading is very important.

Sparks is the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, who wanted us to post something positive and uplifting at the start of the week. While she no longer blogs, i like to post an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

Our dear friend Diane is taking a break
accommodations we must make
we miss her poetry and wit
so carry on as Poetry Monday's a hit!
Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border. Charlotte/Mother Owl and i are keeping it going while she takes a blog break, we hope temporarily. Anyone else is welcome to join in the fun, just let us know!
This week the theme is Kitchen.
First, my favorite couplet about the topic, not something i wrote:
No matter where I serve my guest,
it seems they like my kitchen best!
It's true, no matter what, everyone seems to congregate in the kitchen, the heart of the home. On this same theme:
I can polish up the silver
get the good china out, too,
use all my best linens in the
formal dining room for you,
but no matter who you are,
an old friend, or new to me,
sitting in my kitchen with a cup
seems your favorite place to be!
*******
I spilled ice in the kitchen,
but don't worry about it a smidge,
it's been kicked out of sight and now
it's just water under the fridge.
*******
Future themes are:
September 22 Kitchen (Today!)
September 29 Snuggles
October 6 Water
October 13 Contrast
October 20 Side Profile of a Person
(All themes are from the 365 Days of Drawing Prompts and Other Arts Facebook group.)

Little Annie is beyond adorable!
ReplyDeleteKitchen time.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Annie is growing up the right way by finding out how good books can be. Start out with the picture books and soon learn how to read. We got a bit of rain last night to bring in autumn. It is desperately needed and we hope for more.
ReplyDeleteThe kitchen is always the focal point. Even when guest are over, everyone always ends up in the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteLittle Annie could be the poster child for reading! Yay!
