Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.
Every once in a while on my visits, Grandma comes to me and asks, “What size shoes do you wear?”
This question, and the answer (7 1/2 US, to accommodate my arch support inserts) inevitably causes her to bring a out another pair she ordered online and which do not fit to her liking, which she sends home with me.
This trend, if continued, will someday cause me to end up with more shoes than Sweetie, and that man has him some shoes. While i have always had only what i need and wear, he has many that he wears and many more that he seldom sees, including his wedding shoes (that no longer fit).
Boudreaux be lookin’ in de closet an’ he cain’t fin’ what he need, so he call, “Clothile, you done seen my shoes fo’ de exercise?”
An’ Clothile say, “You ain’t done wore dose in a while, I don’ know where dey be.”
An’ Boudreaux say, “It ain’t been dat long,” an’ dey both be lookin’.
Fin’ly, Clothile say, “Here dey be! An’ it be long time since you use dem, like I say.”
Boudreaux ax, “How you know dat?”
An’ Clothile say, “Mais, dey done gots cobwebs in dem!”
