How Long Has It Been? (Cajun Joke) and Sunday Selections

***********************************

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

Every once in a while on my visits, Grandma comes to me and asks, “What size shoes do you wear?”

This question, and the answer (7 1/2 US, to accommodate my arch support inserts) inevitably causes her to bring a out another pair she ordered online and which do not fit to her liking, which she sends home with me.

This trend, if continued, will someday cause me to end up with more shoes than Sweetie, and that man has him some shoes.  While i have always had only what i need and wear, he has many that he wears and many more that he seldom sees, including his wedding shoes (that no longer fit).

Boudreaux be lookin’ in de closet an’ he cain’t fin’ what he need, so he call, “Clothile, you done seen my shoes fo’ de exercise?”

An’ Clothile say, “You ain’t done wore dose in a while, I don’ know where dey be.”

An’ Boudreaux say, “It ain’t been dat long,” an’ dey both be lookin’.

Fin’ly, Clothile say, “Here dey be!  An’ it be long time since you use dem, like I say.”

Boudreaux ax, “How you know dat?”

An’ Clothile say, “Mais, dey done gots cobwebs in dem!”

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It is now hosted by Elephant's Child.

At Grandma and Grandpa's yesterday, i took a look around to see what i could see.

The sign about the antenna on this caught my attention as i was coming in the back door, and i found it amusing:

Some of the religious art in their house:

Grandpa is a huge fan of Tarzan:

A dark windowsill:

Grandma and Grandpa don't throw parties any more, their bar is nothing but fancy waters:

The following 3 pieces of furniture, in different parts of the house, are all Grandpa's bedroom suite when he was a little boy, still in fabulous shape and in use:

Wall decor by Grandma, Bigger Girl, and Little Girl.

A couple of wall curios:

Grandma's art workshop and some of her art:

Shoes on,

Paint on those.

Care to count,
It's those with no shoes
