A to Z: Goal of a Cat's Life (Awww Monday), Inspiring Quote of the Week, and Poetry Monday

(Because some people like Blogger and some like WordPress, i am putting the same content at both.  If you would prefer to read this on the other site, it is linked here.)

Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee, of Comedy Plus.

Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays.  Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.

Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you.  What better way to start the week than with a smile!

A cat's goal in life, i am convinced, is to worm its way into your heart and take over!

Sparks, the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, is on hiatus, so here's an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

Delores and her friend Jenny are taking turns providing a theme for Poetry Monday, and i am trying my hand at participating.  This weeks theme is Lace.

Sorry but i'm not usually
A lacy kind of girl.

Most times you will not find me,
Vacuuming in dress and pearls.

It's jeans and shirts and comfy shoes
When of me you catch a sight,

But once in so often, when i have to,
This girl cleans up all right.

Me, at Uncle P and Miss Eva's wedding.

  1. That's a very nice purple dress. I'm uncomfortable in dresses, so I don't own a single one.

  2. You scrub up beautifully.
And yes, a cat's role is indeed to wind their paws deep into our heart strings.

  4. Cute cat. You look very pretty in the purple dress. Nowadays, I do not have any dress, just blouse and pants or just shorts and t-shirt most of the times.

  6. Cats do have the life. They just do what they want, refuse to be trained, sleep, eat, and get loved.

  7. Mimi,

Everybody wants to be a cat because a cat's life is where it's at! I changed the lyrics up a bit but that's precisely what felines think. :)

I'm a girlie-girl all the way. I love to dress up but I can't for the life of me wear a dress and heels to clean house like you see in those old 50s TV shows. lol Happy a2zing!

    My posts...
Visit my A2Z Little Mermaid art sketch series ‘Grimsby’ post today and I'd love it if you hit the 4M dance floor with me! ;)
